She urged her enthusiastic fans not to settle for moderates to represent them: “Some Republicans apparently thought they’d have to move to the middle to win. I said, ‘No, no, no, no, no. You win by letting the middle move to you. You let the folks in the middle of the road know that your ideas are the right ones.”

How can she say that and still support John McCain? He has changed (to the right) on several major issues, especially border/illegals related.

Perhaps she’s describing herself. She let John McCain move toward her positions. She definitely was the leader in the 2008 campaign. She took the strong positions and she raised the money.
