Los Angeles on Wednesday became the largest city yet to boycott Arizona over its tough new law targeting illegal immigration in a move that likely will affect some $8 million in contracts with the state.
The City Council voted 13-1 to bar Los Angeles from conducting business with Arizona unless the law is repealed. The vote followed an emotional council discussion during which many members noted that their ancestors were U.S. immigrants.

What does California have that Arizona could possibly want?
This is excellent. Everyone is being called out and getting off the stinking fence.
Let’s see what happens. :)
Time to start making reservations all over California and then canceling them, I guess...
>>What does California have that Arizona could possibly want?<<
Avatards?
Just another case of liberal logic.
Not their illegal aliens.
Doesnt Arizona supply water and electricity to Los Angeles? Cut their water off and let them stew in the dark for a while.
>>Water, power exempted
Hahn said the Los Angeles boycott also won’t affect the city’s Department of Water and Power, which has wind farm and nuclear energy contracts in Arizona. Among the contracts with Arizona companies that conceivably could be terminated include those for helicopter services, Taser guns, waste management, engineering and surveillance equipment. <<
LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
I’d love to see AZ say, “Then piss off. We keep our water and power, thanks.”
That’s it! I am boycotting LA.
who’s with me.
You should have seen Neil Cavuto rip this guy today..it was beautiful. MORONS.
I lived a bit to the south of LA. I’ve been to LA.
I now live in AZ.
Good. Stay there. Don’t need you :)
Arizona Legislature should pass a bill promising to cover the attorney fees for any Arizona business that sues a California municipality or business for damages.
that is EXACTLY what Arizona needs to do!
LA already is part of Mexico. US citizens can’t get out of town fast enough.
Boycott is a double edged sword. I wonder how many Zonans will no longer be vacationing in LA, SD and SF during the hot Summer months. In LA, the $7 million in contract work that will no longer go to Arizona based businesses is small potatoes compared to what Arizona tourists and businesses spend in LA each year. I wonder how those LA hotels are going to like it when Arizona based businesses cancel their scheduled LA meetings. A bigger bunch of idiot politicians would be hard to find than the Democrat pols in CA.
Maybe Arizona needs to schedule some extensive and disruptive maintenance on water and power supplies to LA.
...”said it would be impractical to cancel most of those deals and only about $7 million to $8 million in city contracts probably would be affected. “
Logically, this is going to bite the illegals in the butt if they are the “employed.”
wow, imagine that...the City of Los Angeles trying to distract people from their colossal failures. Who didn’t see that coming. (rolling eyes)
