A month after trailing all but Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich, President Barack Obama is now ahead of all four major Republican presidential candidates polled, plus a new dark horse. Obama has increased his lead over Palin from 47-45 to 50-43 since April; she is the only candidate against whom Obama has majority support. Even unknown candidate Gary Johnson, former New Mexico governor, has Obama at 46, to Johnsons 28. Obama leads Mike Huckabee 46-45 after trailing him 47-45 last month. The president beats Gingrich 49-42; they were tied at 45 in April. Romney lags behind Obama 46-44 after beating him 45-44 a month ago.

But all kidding aside. I'm not sure why Obama's poll numbers have stablized. The only thing I can figure is that people are starting to forget about the healthcare debacle and he's getting a little bounce from his populist financial reform garbage.
I can somewhat agree.
I would suggest focusing on jobs, with an aside of why Obamacare will make jobs harder to come by.
Paul Ryan works for me.
WOW, what a comeback. And for someone with a 39% re-elect number as well.
Pure BS.
barf
Thats great for bammy, but more to the point, how is harry and nancy and all their sycophants doing come November? As I recall 2012 is a long way away. Its not much fun becoming a lame duck president. If bammy wants info on such a situation he has merely to ask Clinton and Bush about the prospects.
In April, Public Policy Polling has the 2012 matchups as follows:
Huckabee 47
Obama 45
Romney 45
Obama 44
Newt 45
Obama 45
Obama 47
Palin 45
In May, Obama has improved his standing.
BTW, Gary Johnson was the Governor of New Mexico from 1995-2003. He is a Ron Paul kinda guy. Johnson’s priority is legalizing drugs and ending expensive wars.
And im sure we can trust a democrat pollster to tell us when we have found one. Hint,,, the way to tell when we have one, is when democrat pollsters tell us how hopeless they would be head to head against Obama.
IE,, remember how they told us McCain was such a STRONG choice for the Repubs? Now the dems are telling us we would be stupid to pick Palin. lol
Theres a lesson in there somewhere.
I sometimes wonder if we’ll never be able to turn the tide of overwhelming stupidity in the American populace.
Big whoppers being told.
Call me nuts but as a Palin supporter I’m happy that she is poling only 7 points back 2 years out!
None of these polls mean crap right now. The real poll will be the 2010 election, if pubbies don’t mop the floor with dems then its clear that the majority of Americans have given up on the Constituion and Freedom and just want to be slaves to the state.
There will be no jobs unless Obamacare is repealed becasue compnaies are not going to hire anybody until it is. The libtards are such morons.
His numbers were sinking, so how can we get his numbers up - Let’s have a bogus poll! Yep, that’s the ticket.
Looks like the media wants RINO Newt. To make it look honest, they include Sarah.
Everywhere I go, all I hear is “Get rid of him”...and that’s in big Dem areas, too....
Bairly beating Huck is hardly a monumental task.
Annoying, but the important thing is getting congress in November.
Its a Democrat affilaited poll. What do you expect.
Rassmussen’s figures do NOT reflect this.
Exactly,,, and given the demise of Bennett, the likely defeat of Harry Reid, and other such rumbles,, i think the Obammunist is in for a november shock.
All meaningless. 30 months is an eternity in politics. A lot can and will happen prior to November 2012.
