Jewish Donors Outraged by 'Sociopath' Obama, Says Columnist

If senior journalist David Goldman is right, the correct word for describing the way a growing number of US Jews feel about President Barack Obama is not 'anger' but 'rage' – white-hot rage, at that, and a conviction that they have been swindled.

Goldman, Senior Editor of First Things magazine and 'Spengler' columnist for Asia Times Online, spoke last week at a convention on intellectuals and terror at Ariel University in Samaria. In his lecture, he quoted a top Jewish campaign donor who used the word 'sociopath' to describe Obama. In an interview with Israel National News, he predicted a possibly dramatic 'train wreck' for the Democrats in the November mid-term elections, with Jewish fundraising for Democrats drying up and a possibly high turnout of anti-Obama evangelical Christians.

Obama has extraordinary gifts of persuasion, and has been profligate about employing them. He persuaded some very wealthy and sophisticated people that he was on their side, and then turned on them.

This rings true. There is a type among the black community that is very skilled at presenting themselves as reasonable to the white community, e.g. Marc Lamount Hill, that are in-fact just the opposite of their reasonable image. But it takes experience to detect them.

Lawrence Eagleburger, former secretary of state under Bush I, was able to see thru Obama early on when he called him a charlatan during the primaries on national TV.

Rush also mentioned this when he said Obama was a type that he was familiar with and despised. And called him the Magic negro.

O'Reilly of course was his usual clueless self.

Jews are intelligent and well educated for the most part, but they don't seem to be into the individuality thing. Maybe it's because they've been an urban people for so long.

I read an article once where it explained that Jews voted Democrat because so many of them or their ancestors came from Eastern Europe where socialism/communism was the norm.

Enough? That’s how I feel reading comments day after day talking about how Jews vote - There are whack jobs in every large group of people. Why do Jews seem to be afraid of fundamentalist Christians? There is a history that justifies that fear and there is a present that is just a hair’s breadth away from it every single day of our lives. Think about that the next time you make accusations about Jews!

Well, I'm sure the US Jews here on FR are in 'rage', but have no need to feel swindled because they knew before the 2008 election what Obama's background was (e.g., his father and stepfather were Muslims and he spent two important years of his childhood attending a Muslim school in Indonesia), who his closest friends were (e.g., Rev. Wright, Rashid Khalidi, and Bill Ayers), and that some wealthy Arabs from the Gaza Strip (of all places) illegally contributed to his campaign.

If some Jewish Obamatons from 2008 feel "swindled," they can direct their rage at Dummycrat Jews like Robert Wexler and even Ed Koch, and other ringleaders of the phony Obama campaign sales team in the Jewish community back then.

Incidentally, I've never heard of "senior journalist" David Goldman, but his general assessment here is probably pretty much true.

I will not call you an idiot, just factually challenged. I never said I hated ANYONE much less the (generally speaking) Jewish people. Do I have a problem with catholics that voted for Obama? I don't know where you arrived at the 90+% number; it's high but not that high. The number bandied about for 2008 is 78% but that's probably about 10 points higher than the real number because of faulty polling technique.

Whatever his number in '08, Obama's showing in '12 with the Jewish community will be significantly lower for the reasons discussed in the posted article.

(The 90%+ number would be accurate for blacks, not Jews.)
