If senior journalist David Goldman is right, the correct word for describing the way a growing number of US Jews feel about President Barack Obama is not 'anger' but 'rage' white-hot rage, at that, and a conviction that they have been swindled.
Goldman, Senior Editor of First Things magazine and 'Spengler' columnist for Asia Times Online, spoke last week at a convention on intellectuals and terror at Ariel University in Samaria. In his lecture, he quoted a top Jewish campaign donor who used the word 'sociopath' to describe Obama. In an interview with Israel National News, he predicted a possibly dramatic 'train wreck' for the Democrats in the November mid-term elections, with Jewish fundraising for Democrats drying up and a possibly high turnout of anti-Obama evangelical Christians.

Excellent summary there.
First of all, I have nothing against Jews. As a Christian, I believe you, along with everyone who is not a Christian, should become a Christian. That’s pretty straight-forward, but it rarely is an issue. On Free Republic, I’m with fellow conservatives, so any issue I bring up seldom is to ever attack them. In the Religion or News forums, I will state things sometime to poke, but from the perspective and knowledge I have on that issue or from something in the news. However, I also believe people are free to believe and follow what they want.
I believe people should firmly follow their beliefs. I frankly have no respect for the positions of liberal Christian denominations, nor of any liberal-leaning Jewish faiths. “Reform” Judaism, in my understanding, would be an abomination before God. From my perspective, Orthodox and that level of conservative fundamental following of the Torah and such, are much closer to what my knowledge of our Old Testament says should be what Jews should follow for Scripture. Although I disagree, due to being a Christian, with a Judaism unmodified by Christ (otherwise making one a Christian/Messianic Jew), I can agree to disagree with staying such a Jew.
As for the Free Republic exchanges between Christians you’ve seen—it is, I’m sure, not unlike you discussing core beliefs, in light of Scripture and practice, between Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, and other branches of Judaism. You are seeing our differences meted out over differing justifications. We are willing to learn, defend, etc. our understandings, helping us to grow, through individual understandings of what are called “Apologetics,” which is usually reserved for defending our understandings with other faiths.
I would be frustrated with people who came into my religious environment and started shunting me to Islam or such, just as you are with some Christians doing that with you. If that is the case, I’m sorry you have to deal with that.
By the way, there are a great many people who call themselves “Christians” that are minimally so, at best.
Take care.
Rather than tell you to go to Hell as well, I’ll just encourage you to follow God more faithfully.
Whatever...
Ill believe it when I see it, until then Ill go on the safe assumption that the socialists who may be of the Jewish faith or of Hebrew descent that continually vote for socialists will continue to do so without regard to what happens to the nation of Israel.
Its an ideology thing and it ALWAYS will be.
I am sorry,I am a relative computer illiterate but I intend to try to learn how to link and organize but if past is prologue it will take me a while.
