Bennett mulls write-in bid

Sen. Robert Bennett (R-Utah), who lost his bid for re-nomination on Saturday, has not ruled out running as a write-in candidate for the Senate this fall.

"I've made no decisions to make a decision," he said Tuesday when asked about his political future. “I’ve made a firm decision not to make any decisions at the moment.”

Bennett would only say he'd make a decision "later."

Such a decision would put his colleagues - who personally like Bennett but will only endorse a GOP candidate in the primary - in a tough position.

"It's a little like going to your own funeral while you're still alive," the 76-year-old, three term senator said of his colleagues who said they'd support the GOP nominee in Utah.

Look at how entitled these guys think they are. If they can’t win the right way, they’ll destroy everything. There is no difference between this and Charlie Crist. I think you’ll see the same with McCain.

If in the GOP primaries this year, many incumbents loose, you can expect to see the losers be the spoilers in the general election.

I fear this will lead to an even greater majority for the dems in the Senate in November.

So? What’s your solution to the problem? Keep them in office so they can continue to ruin America as we knew it?

The time has come to take the bitter pill. We may lose a battle but we will win the war if we don’t take your concerns to heart.

Sadly, most politicians are narcissistic vermin. They’d sell their daughters, wives, mothers, and grandmothers to brothels for another term in power.

If Bennett had a shred of decency he’d serve out his term and retire without complaint. I suspect he’ll turn into a vindictive child though.

And that is the correct answer ... I agree with you. We just had better be prepared for another 2 years of Dem control of congress and hopefully 2012 and 2014 will be better years. It is just going to be difficult for the next 2+ years.
