The British media is completely dominated by 60s radicals. They hate her and carried out a massive campaign of ridicule and smears to defeat her. That same campaign continues against Thatcher's legacy and Royal family because of their staunch conservatism.

An example of the continued hatred of Thatcher is on display in Elton John's musical "Billy", based on the movie "Billy Elliot". There's an entire musical number with giant puppets and dancers, that mocks her. Its unbelievable, but its what the Left does.

Get a brain. You know nothing about British politics. If you did you’d know that UK conservatives are completely different from US conservatives and its a waste of time to compare them.

Miss Nasty, I already knew that but you didn’t. Mrs. Thatcher was not pleased with Cameron, she was not impressed.

The pit closures that Thatcher’s policies caused caused many Northern English, Scottish and Welsh mining towns to turn into sinkholes full of unemployment, crime and despair.
In one sense, I can understand why she had to take on the unions and initiate policies that lead to the eventual decline of the largely unprofitable mining industry. However, she should have taken a more gradual approach, rather than just destroying the centre of economic life in these communities and leaving them to rot. Frankly, if you were a miner in the 1980s or grew up in one of those towns, hostility towards Thatcher and her legacy is pretty understandable, even if the country as a whole generally benefited....

If I'm not mistaken, today's British Conservative is slightly to the left of the typical American Democrat.

You are mistaken.

No doubt, and fumigated the chairs that he sat on while in meetings. I am sick of seeing the RF as a target and scapegoat for the problems of the nation. Muslims blowing up the country and they blast the RF.

Pity it’s the conservatives always having to clean up the messes that the liberals make.
