DeMint is gold in my book, and that list of candidates looks good, too.

DeMint is a good Senator, but that will be all he ever will be.

Agreed. He’d make a great President. Conservatives need to get behind him.

The only one I have a problem with is Rand Paul. I watched the debate last night and of the four that were there, I was most impressed with the 86 year old WWII veteran, Gurley Martin. I loved him.

If that be the case, he’s still good as gold.

DeMint endorsed Romney for Leader of the Free World.

He is out.

Nice try.

the point is, I forgive DeMint for the Romney endorsement because of a mostly Conservative record in office and in endorsements, just as I forgive Sarah for her McCain endorsement because of her mostly Conservative record in office and in endorsements.

It just doesn't work the other way around for the Sarah Haters. They forgive their candidate of any and all transgressions, and declare Sarah unfit if her Conservative street cred drops all the way down to 99.9999%.

You forgive him? Wow. I'm sure he'll be relieved to know that you forgive him.

DeMint's endorsement of Romney was not good, but he's been consistent in supporting Conservatives for the 2010 races. He had a chance to support his colleague Bennett (friend) in Utah and didn't. Palin OTOH has blown it, on top of supporting and running with McCain in 2008. My choice was Fred Thompson so I disagreed with him. However, his Conservative credentials are stellar. Palin's are not. Given a choice, I'll take DeMint as many others have indicated.

When will you and other Palin supporters realize that because people disagree with her, THEY AREN'T HATERS. Honestly, it's the creepy blind worship that is most unsettling. And the reflexive attacks are pathetic now.

Palin's record is not as Conservative as her devout followers have convinced themselves, so deviating from 99.9999999% is not an issue. However, proclaiming Palin a pure Conservative for months only to pivot when she proves otherwise is hypocritical. Palin supporters were purists before they weren't.

Given her support for TARP, a path to citizenship, belief in global warming and questionable endorsements, it's logical that people would begin to question her and see her as merely another Republican. The Palin attack dogs come quickly and get vicious, all the while proclaiming Palin as the next great savior: Trolls, idiots, DUmmies, Romneybots, misogynists, anti-Christian, haters, unpatriotic...you name it. My favorite from the other day was when a Palin supporter said that anyone who didn't support or criticized Palin hated strong women. That's right out of the Left's playbook! It was astonishing.

Blind worship on the Right is as bad as it is on the Left.

Don't forget to start off the recommendations and endorsements, from this one, showing DeMint on board with Senator Lindsey Graham, from 2-1/2 years ago...

At least that shows where DeMint is coming from ... doncha know ... :-)

DEMINT ENDORSES GRAHAM

By The Editor
October 18th, 2007

WILL SERVE AS CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIR

Big news from the re-election campaign of Sen. Lindsey Graham:

COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA – U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham’s re-election campaign today announced that fellow Senator Jim DeMint has endorsed Graham and agreed to serve as a Co-Chairman of his campaign.

“Lindsey Graham is a true leader who has fought to strengthen our military, protect the sanctity of life, and keep taxes low,” said DeMint. “His devotion to and for our men and women in uniform is evident each and every day he serves in the U.S. Senate. He knows that the battles we face against radical Islamic terrorists threaten our very freedoms and prosperity.”

“Also, Lindsey understands the need for limited government and a balanced budget because we can’t leave a fiscal mess for our children and grandchildren to clean up,” continued DeMint. “That is why I am proud to work with Senator Graham as we secure both South Carolina’s and America’s future.”

Earlier this week the Graham campaign announced the endorsements of 1st District Representative Henry Brown, 2nd District Representative Joe Wilson, 3rd District Representative Gresham Barrett and 4th District Representative Bob Inglis. The four congressmen will serve as Vice-Chairmen of the Graham campaign. Coupled with the DeMint endorsement, Graham has now announced support from all of the South Carolina Republican elected officials serving in Washington.

“Jim has been a great friend and colleague in the Senate,” said Graham. “Working together I think we make a good team for South Carolina. Jim has been a leading advocate in the Senate for fiscal restraint and works tirelessly to protect taxpayers from unnecessary and wasteful government spending. I’m very pleased he has agreed to take a leadership role in my campaign.”
