As media elites in their Sixth Avenue towers look down and tut-tut about those racist reactionaries in Arizona, the real people who have to deal with the real-world problems and ramifications of leftist open border political correctness are not backing down.
This weekend on Phoenix’ KFYI, radio host Terry Gilberg interviewed Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. The Sheriff’s message to Contessa, Katie and all the rest? Come ride along side me in the patrol car. You’ll see the real story.
During the interview, he conveyed a remarkable statistic:
Last month alone, just in one patrol region, we had sixty-four pursuits. That means people who were driving a vehicle, failed to yield, took off like a bat out of hell, running red lights, creating traffic wrecks, numerous people were killed in these wrecks over the last several months, and who are these people? Not one of them was a U.S. citizen.

Well, you see, they all just took off because the police are racist, stupid and evil. Just as the prez. He’ll tell you how it is.
That’s the worst part about what the left is doing. They are painting law enforcement as the enemy. They are sowing distrust and fear under the guise of “human rights” and it’s been going on for decades now.

Seems to me that A-10s and Apaches would work quite well together.
Our Air and Army National Guard units have both, as well as some M1A1s.
I understand the current crop of illegals has a pathological respect for superior armed force.

Tucson police do have one of these... they should send it 50 miles South.
AZ could do what Texas has long done, make running from a police car an automatic felony.
§ 38.04. EVADING ARREST OR DETENTION. (a) A person
commits an offense if he intentionally flees from a person he knows
is a peace officer attempting lawfully to arrest or detain him.
(b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor,
except that the offense is:
(1) a state jail felony if the actor uses a vehicle
while the actor is in flight and the actor has not been previously
convicted under this section;
(2) a felony of the third degree if:
(A) the actor uses a vehicle while the actor is in
flight and the actor has been previously convicted under this
section; or
(B) another suffers serious bodily injury as a
direct result of an attempt by the officer from whom the actor is
fleeing to apprehend the actor while the actor is in flight; or
(3) a felony of the second degree if another suffers
death as a direct result of an attempt by the officer from whom the
actor is fleeing to apprehend the actor while the actor is in
flight.
(c) In this section, “vehicle” has the meaning assigned by
Section 541.201, Transportation Code.
(d) A person who is subject to prosecution under both this
section and another law may be prosecuted under either or both this
section and the other law.
The crime rate would be cut in half if they got rid of the illegals.
That stastic should support putting Sidewinders on patrol units.... severley shorten those pursuits.
