Most of the items on school lunch can be classified as minimal nutrition foods.

That’s unless high fructose corn syrup, salt and fat are now “high” nutrients.

Good thing Nanny is looking out for us. Whatever would we do without her?

I wonder if these hypocrites have banned coffee from the teachers’ lounge. “Minimal nutrition” that, for sure.

I would keep MY child out of that school for a month and let them not get the state reimbursement money for that long. Then I’d pull her out completely and home school her.

“That’s unless high fructose corn syrup, salt and fat are now “high” nutrients.”

Thats the good stuff thats in school lunches. In some cases the food is a low grade. Take chickens as an example. They will take diseased or injured chickens and process them for school lunches.

Literally animals with puss filled sores, broken bones, infections will be processed into chicken nuggets. Evidently the cooking process “kills” any harmful bacteria.

I am all for the cafeteria only allowing the sale of nutritional foods.

But if anybody tries to tell me what my kids can eat in their own lunch, they are going to get an earful. Fascism is NOT acceptable.

Silliness like this make me grateful I homeschool. It sounds like a governmental school doing what they do best...making and defending useless policies.

But school officials are defending the sentence, saying the school was abiding by a state guideline that banned 'minimal nutrition' foods.

I'm sure that coffee will be banned next week, along with creamers and sugar.

>’Whether or not I agree with the guidelines, we have to follow the rules,

The same justification used by the putzes in Georgia in banning seniors saying grace and praying before their meals.

United States of Bureaucrats, Health Boards and Assorted Nannyists.

USBHBAN - hey, that works!

Where in those ‘guide lines’ does it say they can wreck a child’s academic record for having a piece of candy? I hate to say it, but the America I grew up in is gone. Rest in peace America. You survived a revolution, two world wars, a civil war and all manner of evil but you couldn’t survive the morons.
