I was merely commenting on the video you linked. I didn’t say it excused the kids behavior, either. It was, IMHO, a VERY poor choice of words by whoever did make up the title. The “secondary” definition of the verb “assail” is not the common usage of the word — the most common usage would be violently attacking with blows, not with words. Hence, why I wouldn’t have characterized it with that word myself.
It’s a shame we didn’t see who came up to who or what happened just before he snatched the flag.
Video evidence is often a problem that way. It gives the impression of an eye-witness view of things but a lot can be missed even while the camera is rolling. At any rate I don’t put too much stock in the titles people give articles, videos or anything else.
