Here is a recording of one of my favorite Mother's Day hymns,
Mother's Prayers Have Followed Me, recorded on a wax cylinder by Homer Rodeheaver, backed by a chorus, in 1914, with words by Lizzie deArmond and music by Bentley D. Ackley, one of the last great hymn writers. Please bear with the acoustically-recorded sound, which is actually quite good for recordings of this sort.
