Generations of mothers have labored tirelessly and selflessly to support and guide their children and families. Their loving, devoted efforts have broadened horizons for their children and opened doors of opportunity for our Nation's daughters and granddaughters. On Mother's Day, we pay tribute to these women who have given so much of themselves to lift up our children and shape America's character.

Whether adoptive, biological, or foster, mothers share an unbreakable bond with their children, and Americans of all ages and backgrounds owe them an immeasurable debt.
Nurturing families come in many forms, and children may be raised by two parents, a single mother, two mothers, a step-mom, a grandmother, or a guardian. Mother's Day gives us an opportunity to celebrate these extraordinary caretakers, mentors, and providers who have made us who we are. As we honor today's mothers, we also reflect upon the memory of those who have passed, and we renew our commitment to living the values they cultivated in us.

I missed the high school biology lesson on how “two mothers” produce a child. I’m sure there are some (inappropriate) movies on the topic, but I doubt that children result even in those movies.
So, will he acknowledge turkey basters on Father’s Day?

Why did he “diss” the combo of two homosexual fathers? Will homosexual partner fathers be recognized in his Father’s Day message?
If you are to be a good liberal, you have to celebrate diversity. Liberal diversity can’t be ignored on Mother’s Day. Thaqt’s the liberal way.
I agree with the adopted mothers. I mean why not include them in Mother’s Day. My dad was adopted and his adopted Mom was his Mom. My Grandfather and Grandmother adopted him at 3 years old.
I heard it’s become common in the lesbian community for the brother of the lesbian female who is not planning to be pregnant to contribute the sperm. That way, both female lesbian partners can claim a genetic link to the baby.
It’s not stated exactly how the woman’s brother contributes the sperm, however.

I think it’s good that he is finally recognizing his white mother.
Any guy who does this should have his head examined. The legal ramifications are apparently not insignificant.

There’s tons of homosexuality in Muslim societies. Tons of it. When they treat women worse than animals, that’s what they do. They’re beyond depraved. And then every now and then they make a big show of hanging some of them.
I’m not celebrating these “extraordinary mothers.”
It is child abuse to deny a child the firm hand of a father or, for that matter, the gentle touch of mother.
Doesn’t count. The child is still denied a father. He spends his life wondering and obsessing about his “uncle.”
