I'm sorry for the vanity...and all of the topics it's posted in...but not really. ;o) I searched for this particular topic, and couldn't find it.

John Rich has donated a song written and recorded yesterday to benefit the folks in the Nashville area. He's giving the song download away...free..., but asks that you click the link to donate.

We have many Tennessee FReepers here, and some in Nashville who could use oould use your help.

I hope those of you who are able to will join me.

Nashville has my prayers!

Unfortunately I’m not in a position to give much else,
but I know you’re a tough lot and you’ll all make it through!

Prayers up!

Rush had a very good interview with him, Friday.
I heard it this morning on my Rush 24/7.
They also gave links to the web site.

I had no idea that Nashville was hit as hard as it was.
Water over the stage at the Grand Old Opry, and Opryland Hotel to be closed until the end of the year?
They call it a 1000 year flood.
Obozo has no interest since us great Tennesseans did not vote for the sorry Marxist POS.

Hey, you! It’s so good to see you!

Thank you so much for the bump and the prayers! And...on this forum...that’s more than I expected given the political climate here.

You’re a doll!

Thank you so much for your post. You heard everything correctly! The media...well, Obama hasn’t said anything about this 1000 year flood, so there is no focus on it.

It’s just like those in CT who this past winter had devastating weather...more snow than ever...nothing was said of that, either.

Frankly...I think it’s a white people thing...and you can quote me.

I looked yesterday and could not find the link (or button) to donate on the site page. Maybe I am just overlooking it, but anyone who can furnish any more specific details would be appreciated.

Same here and it was a missed opportunity esp. after being on Rush. You can d/l the song and then you get an email to text the Red Cross but I don’t ‘text’ and the other link was to the Red Cross site but in the options presented there was nothing specific (that I could see) for Tennessee floods.

Here’s the link:
http://american.redcross.org/site/PageServer?pagename=ntld_main&s_subsrc=RCO_RedTab&s_src=DRF

The second item - disaster relief is for floods, tornados, etc. but that is a constant option there and again not specific to Tenn. I just passed on it.

He should have had a ‘donate’ button on his site, imo and he would have cleaned up.

Awwww! You’re the doll, Dixiechick!

I wish there was more I could do, but I won’t forget the sweet people of Tennessee, you can be sure of that. ;)
