Chuck DeVore has gone to great lengths to portray his primary election opponent Carly Fiorina as too liberal, particularly on the issue of abortion, but some California political observers now say the cash-strapped DeVore campaign is playing fast and loose with the facts.
[...]
Despite DeVores protestations, Fiorina settled on the contentious issue of abortion years ago. And contrary to the campaigns constant refrain, she proudly calls herself a pro-life, conservative, and life-long Republican.
[...]
But for whatever reason, Fiorinas verifiable pro-life record is not enough for DeVore.
If DeVore doesnt make it to the general election, hell be sure to bloody up Fiorina on her way, said one Republican activist with ties to the DeVore campaign, speaking only on the condition of anonymity.
They dont have a statewide donor network and, as a result, theyve raised only a couple hundred thousand dollars. Theyre running against a three-term United States Senator, but their campaign is barely equipped to stage a successful state Senate bid. Putting it bluntly, the activist added, Chuck is a good man, but he is not a viable candidate.
Political strategists consider any incumbent polling below 50% as potentially vulnerable, but money is the final arbiter in California statewide elections and money is just what DeVore does not have. What DeVore lacks in campaign funds, he makes up for in doggedness, to be sure. Doggedness, however, wont saturate television and radio with the ad buys necessary for electoral success; this requires millions of dollars.
DeVore has only raised a meager $337,000 in the eleven months hes been running to unseat Boxer, according to his campaigns July FEC filings. But with a fairly loose grip on the campaigns purse strings, the campaign has burned through $302,000 and found itself $106,000 in debt.

That is the mark of a hypocrite. Be careful what you ask for, you might be the one revealing your true nature to the larger forum.
Figures you have nothing by Alinsky tactics. Very revealing. And you live up to your screen name well.
So who should have I voted for in November of 2008? Do let me know. And if you say Mr. Open Borders McCain, then you fail.
You are worse off than I thought. Oh, and BTW, how is McCain NOT winning working out for the country? I didn't like him as the GOP nominee, but he would have been vastly better than Obama. The fact that you can't figure out the difference is telling as well.
You may have the last word, I try not to waste too much time with deranged and deluded internet political hypocrites, since someone as far around the bend as you are will be impervious to logic and reason.
One month to the primary,, a lot can happen.. and will..
The sequestered debates are over, now we will see who hides and runs.. that doesn’t cost much , anyone can do it, even Chuck..
The media sets the path and many just follow along blindly, coaxed along by operatives at places like FR and other blogadocious sites masquerading as news analysis or things you need to know.
No disrespect but you do no one a favor voting for a Rino over a conservative in the primary, regardless who wins the General.. but go ahead. Just when the moderates should be kicked to the curb , its own party powers that be back them.
What a sickening situation as the Tea Party gets it from both ends to boot... but they can take it. They have, for years. maybe not this election, or the next.. the battle to reclaim the Republic continues.
Well, I sure as hell will not support an abortionist RINO like Fiorina. Go DeVore!!
RINOs will screw you in the end every time!!
Go DeVore!!
Good luck with your Alan Keyes lifetime voting record (4 elections for you to date), hopefully he will run for the rest of your voting days.
I never mentioned an endorsement, the only polling that separates out California tea partiers shows that Fiorina wins the largest number of those that identify with the tea party "A lot".
oh, I realize YOUR post didn’t refer to a Tea Party endorsement, but there have been quite a few article that have referred to such endorsements, and for the life of me, I can’t figure out WHO is making the endorsements. It’s not as if there’s a membership roster.
I don’t know how that works, I guess that some people are inclined to desire something formal to lead, so they create whatever size organization that they can within the people available, and then they run it and create power by using the name “tea party” as something they can anoint with.
It really is a natural human process that probably cannot be stopped, it needs to be anticipated and controlled some how.
The problem is that before you can endorse, you have to be defined so that we know what that endorsement means.
