As long as we are discussing mysterious things and events you might as well check out the “Oregon Vortex” where a person or broom can lean unsupported in an angle and will not fall over. Or a person’s height can change by changing their position by a couple of feet. I do realize that Free Republic has many readers and perhaps there is some one who may come up with a reasonable explanation for these phenomena’s??

“...Oregon Vortex...”

Distorted and off-angle walls, floors -- and perspective effects... Purpose-built hoax site. No mystery there at all.

There’s a place like that in the Wisconsin Dells as well (or at least there used to be — it’s been years since I was there). I always begged my Dad to go there when we were visiting, but never went. I’ve heard/read an explanation a long time ago, but can’t remember it now... (sorry!)
