Lots of military returning from overseas come through Bangor...origin point for the bus, I believe...

The picture of him getting off the bus has been posted at the Union Leader’s website...definitely black. The video was scrambled on the television...made it difficult to tell skin color...

A grateful thank you to all the law enforcement personnel responsible for bringing this situation to a conclusion without any injuries.
I suspect if the perp matched the 40-year-old white male template, the ongoing story would have been getting live cable news coverage throughout the day. As it is, I haven’t heard a word about it on any national news channel. I hope we do learn more about what this situation involved.

(If Fox News is the only outlet reporting it, did it really happen?)

That’s kind of messed up. I really do not believe it is a soldier. But, if you are saying this because of his pants - notice that his belt and shoes are not military.

Nothing’s messed up at all...it’s an observation. I said it because of his pants AND the FACT that many military return to our country thru Bangor, Maine. That guy at Fort Hood? He was military. Geez...

He’s a plant. Napolitano’s record is terrible right now so they have to snag a ‘conservative’ to prove how much of a threat we are.

That explains it...yeah, sometimes it’s nice to see the raw footage before they PC-ify it.

Sorry, I understand your observation. Just hate to jump to conclusions about troops who risk their lives every day because of one lunatic terrorist.

Nobody was ‘jumping to conclusions about troops risking their lives’...I didn’t conclusively identify him as a black man based on an earlier scrambled video until we had a clear picture. Blacks in the military converting to Islam isn’t unheard of...

"No details about the passenger were immediately released, and the bus remained parked in downtown Portsmouth with a bomb squad on the scene.
The man could be a foreign national, as agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were on the scene and there were reports an interpreter was needed to speak to him."

Under President Bush wed have a terrorist threat every year or so, under The Won its every few hours!! WTF?!! I guess these bombers weren't so intimidated with Obama's show of force when the SWAT team went into action against all those grandmothers at a Tea Party rally last week!

"Joe Law, of Hudson, N.H., said he was walking toward his parked car when he saw the bus pull over. Law said the driver got off, ran to the back of the bus and pulled part of its back door down. He said the driver appeared to do something to disable the bus, then yelled, "get away from the bus," before running down the street."

Police: NH bus bomb scare 'not terrorist event' By KATHY McCORMACK, Associated Press Writer Kathy Mccormack, Associated Press Writer - 2 mins ago
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. The police chief of Portsmouth, N.H., says a bomb scare and standoff with a passenger aboard a Maine-to-New York Greyhound bus was "not a terrorist event."
