Devore doesn’t have a chance in the general election even if he is polling against Boxer about the same as Fiorna right now. Once Boxer gets done dicing him up as an “anti-choice right wing extremist” he’ll be a smoking cinder just like all of Boxer’s past opponents. Boxer won’t have quite as easy of a time putting Fiorna in that box. She’s got a ton of money to spend to go after Boxer and to parry Boxer’s demagoguery against her. Fiorna seems media savvy and to understand in California you’ve got to utilize the free media. Plus Fiorna has a shot at taking over some of Boxer’s female support. She ultimately I believe will wear better with voters in the long run than either Campbell or Devore. I’m with Palin on this one.

They were saying the same thing about Scott Brown a few months ago. The 2010 election has a chance to be a game-changer in California - everyone can see that the Democrats and go-along-to-get-along Republicans like Schwarzenegger have put the state into a hole we'll be decades climbing out of. This isn't the time for timidity or playing it safe - I wish Palin had come down on the side of a fiscal conservative like DeVore.
