Devore doesn’t have a chance in the general election even if he is polling against Boxer about the same as Fiorna right now.

They were saying the same thing about Scott Brown a few months ago. The 2010 election has a chance to be a game-changer in California - everyone can see that the Democrats and go-along-to-get-along Republicans like Schwarzenegger have put the state into a hole we'll be decades climbing out of. This isn't the time for timidity or playing it safe - I wish Palin had come down on the side of a fiscal conservative like DeVore.

They were saying the same thing about Scott Brown a few months ago.

But Devore doesn't have the appeal, the charisma or the political skills of a Scott Brown. And Brown was running in an open seat which is always easier to take than taking out an incumbent. Brown was also running against an incompetent, colorless Dem who refused to even campaign in the entire month of December. Boxer is a fearsome, fanatical campaigner and fundraiser. She's no Martha Coakley. This is a different race, a different set of circumstances.
