That moderate term covers a lot of ills IMO.

What is a Conservative?

1. Fiscal responsibility
2. Strong military
3. Right to life
4. Strong Constitutional support
5. Capitalist Free Markets
6. Sovereignty
7. Small government, keeping the money in the hands of the wage earner, decisions as close to the citizen as they can be, so they can have the most impact on them
8. Strong Judeo Christian morality set (whether practicing or not) hard working, honesty, compassionate, living by the golden rule, helping others, self supporting

Switch the order up if you like, but this is where it’s at IMO.

While Conservatives get a bad rap constantly for being ‘right wing’, IMO, these are already moderate stances. They aren’t far out concepts. They are bedrock middle of the road concepts.

So when someone says, hey I’m a moderate, what does that really mean? It means they are to one degree or another left of this.

So when someone says, hey I’m a moderate, that tells me they aren’t buying what we’re selling.

Is that a moderate really?

Take a look at those principles. Which one of those items on the list do you think are hard right policy?

On the spectrum of left or right, I see those issues as right smack dab in the middle. They are the policies of a sound government and national condition.

Hey, at least that’s how I see it. You veer from those principles and you’re not really a moderate. A moderate is essentially a Conservative, because Conservative principles are dead center of where our policies should be as a nation.

So no, I don’t buy the idea a RINO can be a moderate. I can understand why you would say that in light of today’s political climate. I just don’t see someone who is going the moderate route to really be one. I see them as a leftist. If you can only support fifty to seventy percent of what I put up there, are you really a moderate?

Start looking at those items and ask yourself which of those tenets you think you could see a person denying, and still think of them as anything other than a part time leftist.
