he frustration with the federal government's failure to deal with the issue of illegal immigration resulted in passage of a flawed state law. However intended, the result of passing this law is that our basic principles of equal rights and protection under the law are being called into questions, and Arizona's already struggling economy will suffer even further setbacks at a time when the state can ill-afford them."
The NBA Players Association is onboard, as is San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, who said they would play as "Los Spurs" but couldn't get custom road jerseys made by tonight's Cinco de Mayo tip.

How about “Los Meatheads”?
Is there any way both teams can lose tonight?
Yes. They can both lose their American fans.
PC feel-goodism in full bloom. The pinnacle will be if Phoenix plays Boston in the finals and Los Suns face Los Celtics.
Time to boycott these NBA teams. I sick and tired of all this race bating.
Welcome to REPÚBLICA LIBRE
We have a pandamic of viral STUPIDITY in this country. Amazing.........:(
“They can both lose their American fans.”

Indeed.
EVERY tax-paying American should revolt against this outrage.
Except of course, for those high-minded, sophisticated, progressive world-citizens, who believe that Ivy League lawyers can spend their money, more wisely and judiciously than they, themselves can.
Worthless welfare queens. We are better off without them.
Haha that’s what I was wondering. By the way I’m a Latino and I am so sick and tired of having us being lumped in with people who willing break the law. The Bulls have the same jersey in IL “Los Bulls” and it drives me nuts, at least they could have made it say Torros.
Supporting lawbreakers. Well, since most NBA thugs are usually criminals who are broke in 10 years, it makes sense.
Screw the Tattooed NBA.
Hey Los Losers, how about STFU and just play ball like you are most generously overpaid to?
The NBA has a huge African-American fan base, and they are generally not fans of illegal immigration.
Being from Southern California, I’m rooting for Los Navíos del Lago.
First Major League Baseball; now the NBA.
Well, let’s see if the Mexican population of the U.S. is large enough to support their games and outlandish salaries.
I’ll NOT be buying tickets to either sport. As my daddy used to say: “They can kiss the northeast corner of my a**.”
I’m not a basketball fan (most of these players strike me as a bunch of spoiled brat wannabee gangsters anyway), but if I were I wouldn’t patronize this team with one dime of my money - ever.
“By the way Im a Latino and I am so sick and tired of having us being lumped in with people who willing break the law.”

That’s because Latinos who are AMERICANS first, are not given visibility by the Red QueerMedia.
The Suns will wear the special uniforms on Cinco de Mayo to honor Phoenix's Latino community and the diversity of the NBA, Arizona and our nation.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said his team had planned to wear their Los Spurs uniforms for a potential Game 5 and regretted that logistics prevented the uniforms from being ready for tonight's game
I think it's a great idea ... a wonderful idea, he said. It kind of shows what we all should be about. We were going to do it later in the series, but we can't get the jerseys for tomorrow.
Popovich also applauded the statement issued by Suns managing partner Robert Sarver that decried a law passed recently by the Arizona Legislature that makes it a crime to be in the state without proper documentation.
Sarver said the state passed a flawed state law that called into question Arizona's principles of equal rights and protection under the law.
Popovich called Arizona's controversial law, set to take effect Aug. 1, an inappropriate response to a bad situation.
There needs to be a lot of work done, obviously, he said.
A lot of administrations have done nothing about the immigration deal, and now everybody is paying the price. That's a bad thing, but the reaction is important, too.
This reaction, I agree with Mr. Sarver, is inappropriate. It's kind of like 9-11 comes, and all of a sudden there's a Patriot Act, a knee-jerk sort of thing, and it changes our country and what we stand for. This law smacks of that. What he's doing tomorrow night is very wise and very correct.
Spurs guard Manu Ginobili, an Argentine citizen, expressed his support, both for the Suns and for those potentially affected by the Arizona law.
I hope they change it back to what it was and give the workers the chance to be legal and pay taxes, like everybody else, and to work, he said. It's really hard, the situation they're in.
