Founding bloggers ^ | 5/5/10 | staff

On April 30th, Progressives marched on Wall Street to vilify Wall Street banks and bankers. Who organized that march? It was a group called National People’s Action (NPA), and their anti-capitalist campaign is ominously titled Showdown In America.

The author of THE MANCHURIAN PRESIDENT was on Hannity last night and made a pretty good case. Of course Obama’s agenda is obvious to anybody who’s even half awake.

Protests against Capitalism? This is the United States of America! The 5000 year miracle! 10-15 Generations have worked hard, bloodied their hands, died for our Country! If you don't like America, don't like free market Capitalism, then get the hell out of the US of A and move to Cuba!

The Fatal Sequence - H.W. Prentis President of the Armstrong Cork Company 1943

“Paradoxically enough, the release of initiative and enterprise made possible by
popular self-government ultimately generates disintegrating forces from within.
Again and again after freedom has brought opportunity and some degree of plenty, the
competent become selfish, luxury-loving and complacent, the incompetent and the unfortunate
grow envious and covetous, and all three groups turn aside from the hard road of freedom
to worship the Golden Calf of economic security.

The historical cycle seems to be:
From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to courage; from courage to liberty;
from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to apathy;
from apathy to dependency; and from dependency back to bondage once more.

At the stage between apathy and dependency, men always turn in fear to economic and political
panaceas. New conditions, it is claimed, require new remedies. Under such circumstances,
the competent citizen is certainly not a fool if he insists upon using the compass of history
when forced to sail uncharted seas.

Usually so-called new remedies are not new at all.

Compulsory planned economy, for example, was tried by the Chinese some three milleniums ago,
and by the Romans in the early centuries of the Christian era. It was applied in Germany, Italy
and Russia long before the present war broke out. Yet it is being seriously advocated today as a
solution of our economic problems in the United States. Its proponents confidently assert that
government can successfully plan and control all major business activity in the nation, and still
not interfere with our political freedom and our hard-won civil and religious liberties. The
lessons of history all point in exactly the reverse direction.”
- Henning W. Prentis, Industrial Management in a Republic, p. 22

The ‘progressives’ will learn now as they did in 1943, it will take a ‘police state’ to implement central planning in the US. Not only do we say ‘No’, we mean ‘Hell NO’.

My thoughts exactly! Go to Venezuela where you will be more comfortable with the laws and regulations. Hugo will take good care of you bunch of slugs. Get the hell out of our country - we are sick of you.

... AND remind these people that there are PLENTY of english-speaking socialist countries out there. There is no NEED to make the US a socialist country. We are the last Capitalist country. We are the last Republic, and the last place on earth where Liberty exists.

Why aren’t these people leaving ?!

Speaking of slugs, it seems there are a lot of them in the current late teenage-20 something crowd. Dumbed down, food additives, too much sugar, TV, Video Games, overweight? ? Not to mention maybe drugs, kind of an emo-stoner apathy look. . . Not all of them, but seems like a lot vs none that I recall when I was a kid. They kept us too busy for one thing!

Any protests they have should have Massive counter-protests with signs, Don't like the USA, move to Cuba! and such. I can think of about 10 signs right off the bat. Any of their protests/marches should be well publicized so we can TeaParty/FReep them.

Hey Obama, America is on to your socialist/communist plans and will not tolerate it! Keep pushing and you'll see the Citizen Tsunami outside your White House window.

What good would that do? The people who voted for him and his fellow marxists will just vote in replacement marxists.

The full extent of the problem is that a significant portion of the population votes for Marxists. The SOURCE of the tyranny are the people who were weak minded enough to fully submit to the indoctrination they received in K-12 then in college and followup injections of propaganda via the media.

This will not end until we fully disengage ourselves from the idiots who vote for marxists. We MUST remove the influence these people have over our lives through their zombie like support of tyrants. There is no other way.

Let them do what they will. They can have whatever ruler they want, they can subjugate themselves to whatever miserable tyranny they feel they deserve. They can sacrifice themselves to the alter of “social justice” until they are all bled dry and none are left to feed off of. But they can do so WITHOUT us!

F’em... We don’t owe them a GD thing! Its not our responsibility to try and save them from themselves while dooming ourselves, our children and our grand children to their miserable fate.

Not that we can save them anyway... But we can save ourselves and future generations from what awaits the idiots who so willingly place the chains of slavery upon themselves.

There will be no peace until we are free. One way or another, a separation is going to happen. Personally, Id rather it be a peaceful event, but Ill take a violent one if that is all that is offered.

You all hate America first! We are at WAR! How dare you question our glorious leader!

Well said. I keep thinking of all the major things that need to change if we are going to survive as the United States of America. The Amendments to the Constitution listed in Patriots would be a start. . .

They kept us too busy for one thing! Not only too busy but if you got punished in school you got it again when you got home. A healthy respect for respectful authority. Now it is popular to be a slug or a thug, tattooed and strung out on something. Its a deliberate process to control youth, populous, country. It has become communism 101 and people are too dumbed down to realize it.

We are the last Capitalist country.

Actually untrue. The People's Republic of China is now the most capitalist in the world. Look at their growth and heading. While still shackled to a central planning, they have a lot more autonomy today. The Bank of China is open for business. The banks of America are playing the stock market... and screwing the small biznessman.

China looks better for investment today. It's a hell of a lot better for bizness!

Isn't that the truth! I remember my parents completely backing the teachers, the nuns, "the paddle", "good" peer pressure and No Problems. The commies have been working at this with our youth since the 60's. They really are misguided and have been brainwashed. We have a lot of catching up to do. I do what I can to be a role model with "the kids" I work with. A comment here, a comment there. . .

Yep. We need to start with abolishing the Department of Education and take back our schools, approve texts, higher standards for schools and teachers and mandatory classes in Civics, American History, our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence. If you are going to be an American then you need to know who you are!
