NEW YORK (AP) - A man accused of trying to detonate a car bomb in Times Square spent a decade on the path to respectability before abandoning his house in Connecticut and deciding to supplement his business degrees with explosives training in Pakistan, authorities say. A court hearing was canceled Tuesday in part because of [Faisal] Shahzad's continuing cooperation with investigators, but authorities said they had shed little light on what might have motivated him.

Something is just not adding up with this guy/plot.

His story, the time line and now the fact he’s singing like a canary.

I wonder if this attack or attempted attack is something else entirely...

Maybe a signal?

So, the motive is a “mystery?”

This isn’t stupidity, it is ignorance.

Willful ignorance. “There are none so blind, as those who refuse to see.”

Yeah, just like the motive of the Ft. Hood shooter was a “mystery”. Frankly, I don’t know who makes me more disgusted—the perps or the “reporters”. At the end of the day, the perps are probably more honest.

One thing that can’t be ruled out is that the perp might have been acting under our control. That is, at some point the FBI might have flipped him. In this context, the SUV bomb was meant to LOOK like a failure, so that his terrorist controllers abroad would THINK that he had given it the old college try. “Did my best, it didn’t work.”

They have to “make it look good.” Hence, the last minute arrest on the Emirates Air jet and so on.

Then we roll up his network in Pakistan, and in the future, greatly discourage Pakistani Taliban or AQ from accepting any more “walk-ons” from America for terrorist training, because they will suspect the “volunteer” is a double agent.

Not saying this is likely, but it’s possible.

“But shortly after becoming a U.S. citizen a year ago, he gave up his job, stopped paying his mortgage and told a real estate agent to let the bank take the house because he was returning to Pakistan.”

This should be a warning!
The new paradigm; become a US citizen so you will be read your Miranda rights then you can lawyer up.
A new and very intelligent shift in Islamic terrorism.

I believe that the Libs are lying about how cooperative this guy is. Just another plot to make us believe that just the simple reading of rights will make a terrorist spill all of the beans.

“But shortly after becoming a U.S. citizen a year ago, he ... “
Stop calling him a citizen! He committed perjury on his citizenship application and while taking the oath of citizenship. That voids the whole process. He’s a scum sucking muslim whackjob.

They aren’t sure what MIGHT have motivated him? He decided to supplement his MBA with explosives training? Oh, that’s a useful skill that many employers are looking for! Gee, I couldn’t imagine ANYTHING that might POSSIBLY have motivated him. Gee, this is a big mystery!

Are you kidding me?

We catch a Muslim terrorost and can’t figure out his motive?

When late term abortionist GoergeTiller was shot and killed by an antiabortion radical, did the feds agonize over a motive for the killing?

Sheesh!
