PHOENIX - The Phoenix Suns will wear "Los Suns" on their jerseys Wednesday for Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals, owner Robert Sarver said, "to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation."
The decision to wear the jerseys on the Cinco de Mayo holiday stems from a law passed by the Arizona Legislature and signed by Gov. Jan Brewer that has drawn widespread criticism from Latino organizations and civil rights groups that say it could lead to racial profiling of Hispanics. President Barack Obama has called the law "misguided."

Chargeoff ;-)
This has nothing to do with SB1070. Dozens of teams do this every May 5. Not that I like it, but it’s been done for 10 or 15 years. The Mets have “Los Mets” etc.
IDIOTS! It’s not about Latino’s; it’s about immigration! When will they ever get it?
Pure Barbara Streissand.
NBA teams have been wearing “los” jerseys all year. Los Suns... Los Spurs.... Los whatevever. Have you notice the in court ads for the NBA? NEN-BEE AY? Or something like that?
The NBA has been sucking up to hispanics all year. Any idea that wearing Los Suns jerseys is now a political statement designed to protest the Arizona immigration law is a complete and utter lie.
But what else would you expect from the MSM???
And here I was contemplating buying some AZ sports t-shirts.
“Lost Souls” is more like it.
Maybe when a suit case nuke or major plague is unleashed they’ll finally get it, but until then, no way, they are looney as looney gets ...
Cinco de Mayo in the United States is nothing but a “Beer Holiday” for Budweiser and Corona to sell more beer. It is also “Amateur Night” for all the rookie drinkers who will try to drive after having too much to drink.
I can now add they publicly support open borders and illegal aliens.
Go San Antonio.
I’m sure the Suns will probably make an extra million or so bucks selling those jerseys now.
That's what AP says. Is that what the Suns say? I looked for a press release on their site, and couldn't find it.
Sports teams have no business putting themselves on one side of a political issue, especially since their paying fans are likely supporters of the law in question.

I haven’t watched any Pro Basketball since a couple years back when we found out the referees were bribed to throw a playoff game. Basketball is the equivalent of professional wrestling.
I’ve seen the added name thingee somewhere else recently...I think the D-Backs or the Dodgers did something like that.
I wasn’t sure that I could care less about pro basketball but this proves that I can reach a new level of apathy.
Hey, American citizens should start boycotting.
These businesses want to get involved in politics (I thought the left wanted to ban that?) then we should make OUR voices known.
I could see that. "Dang Wizards!" No, wait...
Note to self...Go to bed early Wednesday night....
Here's your former president celebrating Cinco De Mayo up in the White House.
The liberals have completely ruined sportsfor me. First the NFL now basketball.
