Young people are turned off by argumentative and divisive politics.

In 2004, I heard a mother say this to her friend. Her daughter had "given up" on voting because first she'd heard that Bush was bringing back the draft. Then she learned that only Democrats were sponsoring such legislation. She "figured" she couldn't trust "either one of them" rather than ACCEPTING that the MEDIA had lied to her about Bush bringing back the draft.

Until kids wake up to the Pravda Media, they will fall for this BS. Who's up for some deprogramming?

What amazes me is the younger generation is supposed to be so media savvy yet many still get their news from very limited sources (AOL, SNL, Stewart, etc.). It's tough competing with news sources that pander to young interests... which at an age where you're not paying your own bills pretty much revolves around sex, drugs and rock and roll.

All those big numbers about debt and listening to people who say no all the time... it's like, just so boring! So they vote for the cool guy who promises ice cream for everyone. Yeah! Mean people suck!
