Defense lawyer: Va. player's death was accident
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – A lawyer for a University of Virginia men's lacrosse player charged with murder says the death was an accident.
Defense lawyer Francis Lawrence says he is confident the death of a women's lacrosse player from the same school, Yeardley Love, was not intended.
The 22-year-old Love was found dead in her apartment Monday morning. Hours later, 22-year-old George Huguely was arrested and charged with murder in the death.
