NEW YORK - Authorities arrested a U.S. citizen in connection with the failed bombing attempt in New York's Times Square as he tried to leave the country, Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday.
Faisal Shahzad, 30, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. ET Monday night by Customs and Border Protection agents as he attempted to board an Emirates airlines flight to Dubai at New York's JFK airport, officials said.
"It is clear that the intent behind this terrorist act was to kill Americans," Holder said.

“Faisal Shahzad, 30”
Oh. You mean he’s not an old Presbyterian? Or a Tea Party Granny as Bloomberg suggested?
He’s actually one of those Japanese soldiers who was left alone on a deserted Pacific island in the aftermath of WWII. OOPS, did I just say something that wasn’t politically correct?? SEND ME TO THE NEAREST REEDUCATION CAMP.
“”so how did the guy get on the plane again.””
I have yet to hear how they knew where to find him or where they found a disposable cell phone. Have to admit I haven’t been paying much attention to the TV news this a.m. but I don’t see anything online either.
I don’t like the smell of this - I know we’re all paranoid after one year+ with the idiot in the WH but it seems too perfect for me! Set someone up, get your mug on TV regarding an arrest, play it to the hilt about how Holder stayed on the job, got to announce the arrest blah blah...
I wouldn’t trust any of them as far as I could spit!
There are news reports that now say he had nearly gotten away. The plane was buttoned up, ready to go, rolling, when the tower issued an emergency recall.
Who to believe when you are floating in a sea of lies.
Try him for Treason!!!!

Ha! :-D
The truth is starting to come out. He hates President Bush. We again see where the violence is.
