As NewsBusters reported Sunday, a May Day rally turned ugly in Santa Cruz, California, Saturday when some attendees started a riot breaking windows and defacing property.
City officials estimate that at least $100,000 worth of damage was done.
A little north in San Francisco, three people supporting Arizona's new anti-illegal immigration law were attacked at that city's May Day event.
Despite the violence, the reporter for ABC-TV affiliate KGO used an offshoot of "mostly peaceful" to describe the festivities (video follows with partial transcript and commentary):

Sheesh! Typical of the enemedia.
$100,000 in riot damage and physical attacks are characterized as “mostly peaceful.” Leftist hacks!
I don’t listen to Hannity. I remember Sean had Duncan L. Hunter on his show several times to talk about stopping McCain-Kennedy amnesty. But when he wanted to talk about who should be president and why, he got out kneepads for Rudy and Mitt, and ignored Hunter altogether.
The marxists are always violent, disruptive, filthy and disgusting, regardless of the ‘reason’ they are protesting.
What a joke! The American Left attacks the Tea Partiers for what they MIGHT do, and ignores what the pro-illegal crowd actually does. It’s a farce.
No doubt Hannity’s favorite is Rudy.
The Leftists/MSM have been successful with the Big Lie. I happened to catch Megyn Kelly interview Michelle Malkin on how the MSM has ignored the violence of the leftwing protestors. Megyn said about how the media climbed all over a few Tea Party people, who misbehaved and ignored the May Day protests. Ah, name one Tea Party person, who has misbehaved. The only violence at Tea Party demonstrations were violent union thugs, who beat down Ken Gladney, while calling him the ‘n’ word. A Tea Party protestor had his finger bitten off by a liberal nut-job. There’s been no Tea Party violence. Period. End of story. There’s no comparison to be made.
Ping!
