A former congressman from northeast Ohio wants to make a political comeback after serving seven years in prison for corruption.

James Traficant (TRAF'-eh-kehnt) filed petitions Monday morning to run as an independent in the region's 17th Congressional District. That's the seat he held for nine terms. The seat is currently held by Democrat Tim Ryan, who once worked for Traficant.

Agreed.I'll wager that he was none-too-popular over at DNC Headquarters while he was a Rep.In fact,I'd be willing to listen carefully to any claim he might make that he was set up.

Alcee Hastings...impeached.Don't know if that makes him a felon or not, however. If Traficant *is* elected he'd sure be denied his seat by any RAT Speaker. But then,it seems that there won't be a RAT Speaker next January.

BWAHAHAHA!

We need to replace the urbane, snobby, elitist crooks in congress with good old fashioned, all American country bumpkin crooks like Traficant.

I'll vote for him. I don't live in Ohio but that's never stopped anyone.
