You know what would be really cool?

If one of these made-for-TV terrorism geniuses would kindly explain what caused the “smoke” and “gunpowder smell” described as issuing forth from the SUV by the street vendor and the cop who raised the alarm.

All we’ve heard so far is how the fertilizer was non-explosive, the propane tanks were sealed and the bomb was, overall, a dud (which of course means it was the work of a right-wing moron, in MSM-logic) — but, uh, what about the smoke and the smell that the media’s been headlining?

If something was cooking in the back of the SUV, wouldn’t something be eventually igniting?

From what I hear the device was rather crude in construction and was rigged with a long standard rudimentary fuse that was lit.

This could account for the smoke and gunpowder smell.
