Sad but true: Bill Moyers Journal has shuffled off the air and into the archives of PBS and the Paley Center for Media. From a story in the Columbia Journalism Review:
In 1948, when he was fourteen years old, Bill Moyers heard Lyndon Johnson give a rousing speech at a courthouse in Marshall, Texas. Without a megaphone or a loudspeaker, LBJ mesmerized the crowd. I remember the sheer presence of the man, Moyers has recalled. And I thought, Thats what power is. And this man is reaching this audience. And hes got this audience. And hes telling this audience something thats very important. Years later, through a different mediumtelevisionMoyers would achieve a similar kind of power, and he has yet to abuse it. Moyerss conversational ease, his earnest delivery, his fierce intelligenceall of it has transformed him into our leading television intellectual, and a worthy successor to Edward R. Murrow.

Don’t be too sure. Moyers retired once before....
Buh Bye to a vicious, evil leftist propagandist swine.
You forgot traitor
Liar inspired by a liar.
LOL. He’ll be 76 in June. We can hope the old bustard stays retired.
The liberal credo. It isn't about doing good or right for the people. It is about power. Liberalism is an easy way to buy power from the weak-minded.
This is funny, I was just about doing a search for the article having been posted and here it is
In 1958, my uncle from Texas came to visit us in Nebraska and told us that LBJ was the biggest crook in Texas. My uncle was smarter than Bill Moyers.
Lyndon B. Johnson was a very evil man who promoted big government and was a Bible hating, do-good liberal. He was a liar for the leftist cause who never figured out that his Democrat party was the enemy of true freedom.
Bill Moyers is even further to the left and has had one job his entire adult life: Professional Liar.
Naturally, Bill Moyers loves liars and other leftist moral reprobates, for the cause.
He was a hate-monger.
Darn, at first glace I thought it said Bill Maher.
Darn, at first glace I thought it said Bill Maher.
Let the door hit you on the way out.
Wasn’t Moyers basically LBJ’s sock puppet?
Yes. A really nasty b@st@rd.
“Wasnt Moyers basically LBJs sock puppet?”
More like LBJs’ streaked underwear puppet.
I watched the show, just so I could revel in the finality of it all. At the end, he did admit he had biases, as if it was some long-held secret that he was just now sharing with us. I laughed out load.
I also thought it was fitting that he had that loser Jim Hightower as his last guest. What a poster boy for liberal twerpism that guy is. Every Texan who ever proudly claimed that title has to cringe in embarrassment knowing they share it with a wimp like Hightower.
Sock puppet? No, Butt Boy is more appropriate.
