Vedas say something similar, in general: We are 5000 years into the Kali Age, a dark age of chaos, violence, ignorance and great evil. But there is a small period, just started a few hundred years ago, where the influence of Kali Age (no relation to Goddess Kali, different “a” pronunciation) will be diminished and a small “Golden Age” will happen for a few thousand years. Then, plunging back into the darkness of Kali.
But, there will be a clearing of the decks, no doubt fairly soon, for this small Golden Age to occur. Small age meaning another 9,5000 years. The Vedic time lines are very long.
