Basically it does nothing more than make illegal residence a state crime, hence making apparent violaters subject to arrest by police officers and subject to prosecution in the state courts. Given that a valid driver’s license is regarded as proof of legal residence, what can they call this unreasonable? Besides legal aliens carry a green card or a passport which serves the same purpose. The question of race is raised only to discourage application of the law.
