Immigration law draws protest, support (San Diego, CA)

SAN DIEGO — More than 1,000 people marched through the streets of downtown San Diego on Saturday to call for immigration reform and the repeal of a hot-button new Arizona law.

(snip)...At the federal building, people on the two sides of the immigration debate gathered on opposite sides of Front Street, at times chanting loudly.

Those who favor the Arizona law chanted “USA” and “Build a Fence!” while immigration activists called out, “What do we want? Justice, When do we want it? Now!”

San Diego Minutemen leader Jeff Schwilk said he had come out to support law enforcement and Arizona’s immigration law. Participants in his rally carried signs with such messages as, “Illegals take American jobs,” and “Get tough on those who hire illegals.” At its peak, the gathering numbered about 125 people.

The situation grew tense for a while, with the groups standing just a few feet apart with police in between. Participants traded insults, including “racist!” and “illegal criminals!” and extended middle fingers a few times. There were no reports of violence.

San Diego Police eventually moved the groups about 50 feet apart and separated them with yellow police tape suspended about three feet in the air.

The illegals that came out today, the police should have carded them. Perfect opportunity to throw the criminals out

It gets more ridiculous. They’re predominantly noncitizens from nations with far more draconian laws, marching in one state to protest the law in another, an illegal act in their own home nation.

They’re just dumb sheep being told what to do by the usual America-hating suspects, imho. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to learn that “stimulus” funds were being used to pay them to do this.

It’s crazy, isn’t it? These idiots don’t have a clue what Communism really is and just how restricted a life it is.

Stimulus funds filtered through La Raza. The La Raza flags and T-shirts were unmistakable

Are any of those features from birds on the endangered species list. If so, the law in America says they must be rounded up by the authorities.

I forgot to add that we do have a great double layer fence along the border. We're doing something right!

Not entirely. They’re here, aren’t they? The hate comes in when somebody tries to step between them and free stuff. All this “the race” garbage is just another attempt at grabbing free stuff. It’s all about free stuff, at somebody else’s expense. Ours. When we try to put a stop to it or even point it out, out comes the hate.
