Not really.

It’s about treason. Individuals didn’t commit treason when they voted for him.

Because the older we are the more things we have to remember!

And yet 69 million American voters thought he was a swell guy.

Of course if anyone even mentioned that his middle name is "Hussein" they were deemed racist and worse. Hardly anyone in the MSM even mentioned the possibility that he might not be eligible. IOW, a public debate or discussion of the issue was deemed "not politically correct".

Yeah, well, he’s all but wiped out capitalism as he’s destroyed finance and banking and has taken over healthcare and is in the process of bankrupting oil, gas and coal while also running up the national debt to unprecedented levels threatening a total collapse of the USA and bankrupting every man woman and child in America. Other than that, his destructive Marxist efforts have been rather tepid.

removing Obama from office will never happen. Cities all across America would burn.

Other undesirable things could very well happen if his is not removed. Cities burn from time to time, it seems to be the nature of cities. Things move on. Nations only rarely fail from not observing their own fundamental law. Some things can never be rebuilt.

You’re not understanding the birther view.

It’s that he’s not eligible because he doesn’t meet the Constitutional requirements. Nothing to do with whether he’s American.

“Being American isn’t some magic key to enlightenment.”

This comment reveals beyond all doubt that you are in fact a tired old liberal. The idea that birthers might believe being American is a “magic key to enlightenment” cannot be inferred from a conservative perspective.

His willingness to demagogue for the illegal aliens seems symptomatic of his NOT being 100%.

The chief reason why he and his followers in the Democratic Party are so bent out of shape about the new Arizona immigration law is because illegal aliens are such a key part of the 'Rat electoral strategy. Since they don't feel they can win fair national elections with the electorate legally defined as it is now, their plans for the immediate future include amnesty for illegals with a fast lane to citizenship. Until that is accomplished by immigration "reform" legislation, they wish to use illegal aliens as pawns in voter fraud schemes to tilt elections in their favor. The Arizona law, and other possible state laws similar to it, obviously throw a monkey wrench into their sinister plans.

So, yes, one symptom of his not being 100% American is his willingness to fight to the end against honest elections conducted under fair and reasonable laws.

Your son is NOT a 'natural born citizen'. Natural-born requires two citizen parents. His mother is a foreign national, which disqualifies your boy from ever holding the office of POTUS.

She *could* be a dual national, in which case Drew68's son would be a natural born citizen.

Somehow I doubt that is the case, but it is possible.

There was a time when, perhaps, the father's citizenship alone would have been determinative, but that time has long passed if it ever existed.

Until the early 1920s, when a foreign national woman married a US Citizen man, the woman became a US citizen, automatically. Now, she doesn't, although it's easier for her to get citizenship, depending on particulars, than someone else coming here from here home country.

It is the Democrats’ turn to show some honor.

You need to have it to show it. They, as a party and most of its members individually, don't have it.

IOW, don't hold your breath.

The only bugaboo I see is the ineligibility of John McCain.

Under the concepts of the Law Of Nations, McCain was not ineligible. See section 217 Vol I of Law of Nations. That section provides that those born in the military service or diplomatic corps while the parents are outside the country but serving it, are considered "born in the country" because they never left it's jurisdiction.

Jim, Barry is writing Cloward-Piven large on our nation. ALL his actions are designed to collapse the American nation, in the twisted fascist/oligarchical belief that the democrats in power can remake America better than before. When the sonofabitch satetd ‘we are five days away from fundamentally transforming America’, he meant precisely that. All the other lies were toold/are told get him into power/keep him in power.

And you know what gets me is that if this was a Republican

Can you imagine if Sarah Palin's mother was a Russian fisherwoman who jumped ship and married her US citizen father?

It would have been 24/7 for years after the election..even though her ticket lost.

Under the concepts of the Law Of Nations, McCain was not ineligible.

Regarding Vattel, you are correct.

But, under the Naturalization Act of 1795, he was ineligible. The State Department manual states that individuals born overseas to parents in the military may not meet the Constitutional definition of natural born citizen.

Additionally, to my knowledge, no one has claimed that the United States recognizes anyone other than citizens born overseas to diplomats in service to the nation as anything other than citizens, which is right in line with the various Naturalization Acts going back to 1795. Military bases are not sovereign territory; there are court cases providing precedent to support this.

So, there are a number of problems with making the assumption that you've made. Yes, it sounds unfair, but the law is the reality and it is what it is. McCain's eligibility was on shaky ground, just as shaky as Obama's. But, McCains's got a great deal of play in the media and a very questionable Senate Resolution. Obama's got swept under the rug.
