A legal battle is heating up faster than the planet for embattled climatologist Michael Mann.
First word emerged that the inspector general for the National Science Foundation would look into the Penn State panel reviewing the climate scientist, who is currently director of the school's Earth System Science Center. Now the attorney general for his old employer the University of Virginia is planning an investigation, too.

Ping!
They need to seize the hard drives on any computers before they become “mysteriously” missing.
I am proud to be a Virginian! (and not for the first time in my life, either.)
He should have keeep his mouth shut....but nooooooooooooo he had to get upset oer hisd hide the decline hockey stick theory being exposed.
This is the problem with acedemia these days...stupidity.
There are several other U.S. scientists who should be investigated for fraud. They have distorted science and kept papers from being published so that they could keep their own Government money gravy train running.
Mann should certainly be first, but he should not be the last.
The Commonwealth of Virginia . . .
And there will be no white wash on this one.....
Awesome.
“They need to seize the hard drives on any computers before they become mysteriously missing.”
If they do, then there should be an immediate arrest for ‘obstructing justice’.
Just to be a PITA, but Virginia is a Commonwealth, not a state.
Mann was associated with global “warming”, but he was no scientist.
YouTube was forced to take down the video, even after they made a version without his photo in it.
Mann is a bad publicity generating machine.
bttt
Well at least one school/state is finally going after the facts! Penn State’s credibility continues to shrink (it’s alumni donations must be in decline as well) as an official “Hide the Decline” founding father! PSU has fallen a long way from the 60’s when their BEST professor could be found in Earth Sciences (geology / mineral science) now hiding the WORST professor!
no way were they 'forced'...the 2nd version is kosher! HTD-II and equally hilarious....catchy tune too!
I read it on a blog...it must be true.

Mann is obviously in a great deal of warm, wet, brown, stinky stuff.
