President Obama praised government during his commencement address at the Unniversity of Michigan in Ann Arbor. "Government is what ensures that mines adhere to safety standards and that oil spills are cleaned up by the companies that caused them," he said. "We've also clearly seen the dangers of too little government, like when a lack accountability on Wall Street nearly leads to the collapse of our entire economy," Obama added.

When are Republicans gonna put and end to his lies and state once and for all that it was government messing in the free market with subprime loans that caused the economic collapse!!! Burns me up that the Republicans don't pin this mess on the Democrats!!!
“We’ve also clearly seen the dangers of too little government,”
Government that governs least governs best. The framers warned about people like Obama.
Is it even possible for this freak to get more disgusting?
Yes! When he takes over the funeral service for them. Oh he did that didn’t he.
Predictably Obama chose a Saturday to say this because the explosive response won’t come until Monday afternoon.
BULLSHIT!*
We've seen the dangers of too little application of the existing powers of government, combined by the abuse of that power in other areas.
Bawney Fwank and Chris Dodd are not in jail for allowing the creation of multimillionaires, robbing Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac blind.
We have seen no attempt by government to recover the hundreds of billions$ stolen by Wall Street crooks with the collusion, aid and participation of career politicians of both parties.
And we have seen the relentless continuing terrorist attack on citizen free speech.
And we have seen NO ^#&($)<)!&^ enforcement of the immigration laws which have bankrupted entire states, and continues a headlong avalanche towards the third world status cliff.
Q.E.D.
looking at the humorous side: this speech was given in freakin’ MICHIGAN !!!
Look at what a great job government did for the Michigan economy.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
C. S. Lewis
Don't forget, and Vice-Versa!!!
Shouldn't that be a harshly punished federal offense?
Its important to point out that Ann Arbor has both the lowest unemployment and highest number of taxpayer supported jobs in the state.
Obama’s mind is at least one can short of a six pack. Where in the world did we ever find such an idiot to be President?
Yep!
“Where in the world did we ever find such an idiot to be President?”
Well, WE didn’t. The MSM, Soros and the Saudi’s did. :s Half smile (pun), half frown (reality).
Don't count on it.
The only thing necessary for the success of totalitarians is ignorance, complacency and indiference on the part of the subjects-to-be.
if you put enough snakes in the pit - they will start biting each other. They are going to lose power in November and they already know it -

The Founders recognized that, in order to retain his liberty, the individual needed protection from the power of the federal government. That is why the Bill of Rights was created. We are not supposed to be subjects of the sovereign. The greatness of America is that sovereignty began with the individual who delegates authority to the government through a constitution. We are a self-governing people.
Through compact, we each surrender only that portion of control by force necessary to preserve the equal right and liberty of each from injury/trespass by another. We retain the remaining power over our individual actions. Government actions to promote the general public benefit are not supposed to be achieved through force (regulation) or place a disproportionate burden on the individual (taking of property.)
Our system is supposed to maximize liberty. More government = less liberty. It is as simple as that.
Does anyone think that the problem in, say, Michigan, is too little government??
And the American people are seeing the affects of too much Govt
