Not sure I understand your question.A country has only one "embassy" in a particular foreign country.Depending on any agreement those two countries might have reached you can have one or more "consulates" as well.Also depending on bilateral agreements a country can station numerous "diplomats" in a foreign country.

The point I was trying to make is that China has long been believed to station *many* spies in their Western embassies/consulates...some concentrating on stealing commercial secrets,some on stealing military secrets.

Thanks for the BU. There is no excuse for police beating up anyone! Once given the pass, you will find your self the victim - it's only a matter of time! Hence our Constitutional safe guards, that must at all times, and in all circumstance be upheld. The alternative is rapid decent into tyranny! IMHO
