And the Coast Guard was in there the day after the fire was first reported. Maybe if BP had admitted last weekend that they couldn’t get the leak under control, and just how bad it actually was, we could have used all those Fed resources to keep the oil from hitting the shore.

But noooooo. ... BP wouldn’t even admit until THURSDAY that it was 5,000 barrels a day, even tho the Feds had asked them about the estimates the day before.

If the Feds had acted first, and there had turned out not to be a problem, everyone would be angry at them for acting tyrannically with a foreign energy company.

I am glad that FINALLY we are learning the Truth.
