Bipartisanship in Washington is largely dead this Congress, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Friday.
After warning in March that Republicans wouldn't cooperate on legislation for the rest of this year, a claim he had subsequently backed off, McCain said bipartisanship was "for all intents and purposes," dead.
"I would say that, largely so," McCain said of whether bipartisanship was dead this Congress during an interview with the conservative Newsmax magazine.
"There are certain areas where we can work together," McCain added, pointing to his work on the Armed Services Committee. "But for all intents and purposes, yes."

When it comes to him that’s a good thing!
To the headline: about damn time.
Good. Now go for gridlock.
Good.
When you make a deal with the devil, it doesn’t matter if you achieve bipartisanship. You have paid with your soul.
What McCain is really saying is that bipartisanship is “dead” until after he gets re-elected!
Somebody should tell that to Sarah Palin.
Well hopefully McCain’s primary chances are toast now too. Stupid RINO/Dem mole.
McCain is too busy stabbing JD in the back and running away from being pro-amnesty. McCain is disgusting.
YO, Juan McLAME ... GOOD.. Dealing with the DEVIL is a bad thing... no matter How Good the Deal Seems to be.
Oh, and ... Enjoy your RETIREMENT!
Until he is safely re-elected. Don’t trust him Rab’s :)
Who said I was trusting McQueeg?
No kidding, although I don’t think she has signed on the dotted line yet.
Wow!
It took him a lot longer to figure this out than it did for the rest of us.
Here’s a hot top John: bi-partisanship ended when 0bama won election.
BTW John - please inform the rest of your RINO cabal about the fact that you have seemingly just now uncovered.
Did he say that the bipartisans are dead? Well, brain dead for sure anyway...
Bipartisanship has always been dead. The Dems assume their stance and Rinos assume the position.
YAY!!!
Bi-Partisanship is dead, ding dong the witch is dead.
When did the Democrats ever become bi-partisan??
I can read McCain’s mind. Here’s what he’s thinking:
All I need to do to is get back into the Senate. Once the Reublicans have 45-50 seats, it’ll be enough for me to use the gridlock to create a new Gang of Fourteen. Gang of Fourteen Part Two we’ll call it just like in the movies.
I’ll be back to being one of the most influential senators in the country. Hehehehehehehehhe....
A vote for McCain against Hayworth is a vote for the Dems once the next Congress rolls around.
