I spend a significant amount of time trying to convince birthers to stop perpetuating demonstrably false rumors that make the rest of us look like idiots. Not only does it make the rest of us look like idiots, but it also makes birthers look like they're motivated by hate rather than the discovery of truth. One can't claim to want the truth and then perpetuate "demonstrably false rumors" AND remain credible.
