Why the Founding Fathers Were “Birthers” (old article but sets facts out well)
Canada Free Press ^ | 1 August 2009 | JB Williams

If millions of American “birthers” are “right-wing nuts,” they are in good company with men like Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Adams and Ben Franklin.

A foreign born immigrant, who has successfully navigated the naturalization process, is a legal US citizen with all of the Constitutional rights afforded a US Citizen with the exception of one, the right to be President of the United States. As a matter of Constitutional case law, - 94 ”Whatever the term ‘‘natural born’’ means, it no doubt does not include a person who is ‘‘naturalized.’‘

NOTE: One can be a US citizen without being a “native citizen” or a “natural born citizen.” It must also be stated that Hawaii issued Certifications of Live Birth to foreign born non-citizens of the US as a regular practice.

However, one can be both a “US citizen” and a “Native Born citizen” and still NOT be a “Natural Born Citizen.”

It was the Founding Fathers who wrote and ratified, “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President;”

They based this clause on the following; “Congress, in which a number of Framers sat, provided in the Naturalization act of 1790 that ’‘the children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond the sea, . . . shall be considered as natural born citizens. . . .’’ 96 This phrasing followed the literal terms of British statutes, beginning in 1350, under which persons born abroad, whose parents were both British subjects, would enjoy the same rights of inheritance as those born in England; beginning with laws in 1709 and 1731, these statutes expressly provided that such persons were natural-born subjects of the crown.”

“The troll’s strategy is to echo conservative ideas on every topic except one, maybe two.”

If that is the case, how can a person reliably differentiate between trolling and a difference of opinion?

The patterns over time make it very clear, that’s how.

Just learn this: deceptiveness will always lose to sincerity in the long run. I’m inclined to think of Alinsky’s failure to understand this as an intellectual deficit. The same goes for Karl Marx, Herbert Marcuse and anyone who brainlessly worships marxism.

Marcuse has explained his support for marxism like this: “I believe it is correct.” What a non-explanation. I realize I shouldn’t expect his followers to have the intellectual capacity to explain it any better.

The reason deceptiveness loses is because the deceiver is too busy distracted by thoughts of “Oh boy, I’m so smart, I’m fooling all of them” that he fails to understand the real difference between deceptiveness and sincerity. Inevitably he shows his hand.

Yes, the marxists are fools.

Apparently, the birthers’ strategy is to label any difference of opinion as conspiratorial, one-issue trolling.

If you spent any time reviewing my posting history, you’d see that I don’t “echo” anyone’s opinion on anything. I have my own opinions, which I develop after careful research and much thought.

That birthers believe I and others who disagree with them are trolls clearly demonstrates a deficit in the skills of critical analysis and logical reasoning.

I won’t sit here and give you free advice on how to advance to class A troll from your current level, but I will say this—sheer volume of conservative-appearing posts do not accomplish what you think they accomplish.

Again—although the marxists lose on method, their greatest failure is of the mind.

I fail to see how your explanations amounts to anything more than: “Regardless of whatever else they have said, someone is a troll because I say they are a troll.”

The propensity to be pro-government is greatly amplified by anyone who is given citizen status by the government. Kissing the hand that feeds you. Natural Born citizens do not need the government to give them rights or perspective.

Don’t flatter yourself. I didn’t solicit your advice on anything.

Who said anything about the volume of conservative posts accomplishing anything? The content of my posts testify to the fact that I am a conservative as does my support of FR both on and off site.

It’s your assumptions and logic that are faulty. Calling a fellow conservative and freeper a troll based solely on a disagreement over one issue is the strategy to which one resorts when one cannot defend an argument.

So in other words, you’ve been able to appear conservative on all but one or two issues.

You sound like an attorney.

Just remember this. Man’s courtroom does not find the ultimate facts, nor does it bring final justice.

I spend a significant amount of time trying to convince birthers to stop perpetuating demonstrably false rumors that make the rest of us look like idiots.

Not only does it make the rest of us look like idiots, but it also makes birthers look like they're motivated by hate rather than the discovery of truth. One can't claim to want the truth and then perpetuate "demonstrably false rumors" AND remain credible.

That deserves repeating:

Why is it that you always resort to suggesting that another’s soul is in jeopardy simply because they disagree with you? That attitude is what turns people away from Christianity.

Thankfully, I know Christ as my Savior. If I didn’t, your ugly insinuations would surely turn me off.

Yes, Christ is the Savior.

But you are inserting into my comments something that wasn’t there when I posted them. I commented on an aspect of human society. Salvation was not referenced, nor was anything about your individual soul. This inaccuracy of your post # 34 is so extensive and your leap so great that you have launched yourself beyond the boundaries of honest discourse and landed squarely in the muck and mire of deception and outright lies.

A logical explanation for your post is that you are attempting to use your opponent’s values against him, as Alinsky taught. Nothing else makes sense. (How obvious can you get?)

Did Alinsky, in his brilliant writings, not include a strategy for disguising the use of his tactics? I’d think it would be sort of important. I don’t know, I didn’t read much of his garbage.

Hate? Don’t you mean racism?

You're so full of crap. You can't accept that a conservative could possibly disagree with you. And you can't defend your arguments so you resort to dismissing us as trolls.

Your comments always include some subtle (not so much) insinuation accusing us of being liberals whose philosophy will not only fail us here on Earth but also force us to answer for our deceit in front of the ultimate judge.

And when you're called on it, what's your response? I'm a deceitful liar using Alinsky tactics. You have no boundaries for honest discourse.

You're the one resorting to Alinsky style tactics. And worse, you're accusing a fellow Christian of lying about his conservative values. As I said, the example you set as a Christian is what turns away the unsaved.

If some one repeats a rumor that has been proven to be false over and over again, what would you call it? It can't be ignorance, so what is it? What is the motivation behind it?

Proverbs 10:18 He who conceals hatred has lying lips, And he who spreads slander is a fool.
