The website Media Matters is highlighting a comment from talk radio icon Rush Limbaugh in which he explains he can understand President Barack Obama's sensitivity to a state requirement for documentation of citizenship.
"Maybe he's afraid somebody's going to ask him for his," stated Limbaugh on his program Wednesday.
He was commenting on the president's use of the word "papers" as in "Show me your papers" regarding the new Arizona state law cracking down on illegal aliens in the state.
"The use of the word 'papers.' I mean Obama? Understandable," comments Limbaugh. "Papers equals Nazi. Your papers please. It equals Nazi. That's why Obama's using the term. I can understand Obama being touch on the subject of producing your papers."
"Maybe he's afraid somebody's going to ask him for his," Limbaugh said.

I'm smokin but it doesn't have anything to do with crack!
Your mom?
Surely by now you must realize talking about folks behind
their backs is weak and.. well.. a bit gay. More than a bit.
Fully gay. And weak. Do it often, do you?
Oh....I was out shooting pistols....
Well the .38 shoots straight...and like a wheel gun does..it's "bangs" everytime.
The newer Sig .380 shoots good.....I like it...but would part with it.
The CZ -52 is a keeper...and I don't see myself selling it.....100 yds? No problem....
Love it.........
I’ve got this rule. Whatever I say online I’ll also say it up front in personal.
That’s nice.
I like the Glock 27.
It fits right in a pocket and never fails!
Big noise, too. 40 caliber. Terror weapon even if you don’t have a shot.
I heard that live, since I happened to be returning from getting an MRI on my knee, and I about ran off the road. :)
Ha!
??? What does the Spanish American War have to do with the acquisition of of Arizona? Most of Arizona was acquirred under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo, which ended the Mexican-American war. That also got us parts of Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming, as well as the whole of California, Nevada and Utah. Mexico also aknowledged that the border of Texas was the Rio Grande, not the Nueces River as the Mexicans had claimed ever since the Texas War of Independence.
The parts of Arizona south of the Gila river were purchased in 1853, via the "Gadsen Purchase" as a deep southern route for the railroads.
The Mexican-American War was 1846 to 1848, the Spanish-American War was in 1898. That resulted in US ownership of Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Phillipines. We gave the latter independence after WW-II, as we had promised. But the former two are still US territory. We also controlled Cuba temporarily.
He didn't. He gave up his law license. Not the same thing.
However giving up one's law license is a little unusual. Although putting it in a "hold" state, awaiting reactivation is not so unusual, especially for women. It costs money, not a trivial amount either, to maintain that license, and some folks who are not practicing, such as young mothers staying home to raise their kids, may choose to either give it up, or put it into "inactive" status. My daughter did that. She may, or may not, reactivate it, in a year or three. Her husband, OTOH, kept his active even though he is not currently practicing law.
Which one?
Perhaps, but if he can be forced to give up the tiller, he won't be able to shred the tomatoes, will he?
It would also make his cohorts , in Congress and the Vice Presidency, so weak they'd make the 1974 and '76 Republicans look like Rambo in comparison.
Humble is a lot of things, but not a "weak Obambibot".
When he speaks of clowns, or at least commedians, he knows, by first hand knowledge, whereof he speaks.
He does a Great Achmed the Terrorist routine.
Check it out on YouTube.
I just wish y'all and he would agree to disagree on Orly and leave it alone.
I'm kind of in the middle on that issue myself. I wish her well, but don't hold out much hope.
My ported .45 ACP (EAA Witness) makes even more noise, plus one heck of a verticle flash in low light. :) For me, the bigger the bullet the better. I'd have a .45-70 rifle if they came in semi-automatic. (Not that I don't have 3 .30 caliber rifles/carbines, and one pip-sqeak of 5.66mm calibration. :) )
I'd have a .50 if I could afford a semi-auto and the ammo to feed it.
" Papers equals Nazi. Your papers please. It equals Nazi."
I have a feeling of the deja vu here. I remember in the war in England, sitting enthralled at those old black and white movies. The "Gestapo man" or German officer would approach the (every one knew was a resistance hero) and ask "You haff your papers? " One sat and agonized, the tension was incredible, yet it was only a film. The left knows every angle.
It so happens that when the war scare of invasion hit, good citizens changed. There was paranoia in the land. Churchill was informed of the number of now "enemy" aliens in the land. He is reputed to have growled "Bag the lot". I have a book titled "Collar the lot" (Peter and Leni Gillman) printed 1980.
The terrible thing that was done, was to intern German Jews resident in England. Others also went with them. Many had fled the Nazi regime. What I am trying to say was that often a British policeman would tap on the door of some poor person and ask "I have reason to believe that you are a German citizen. Pack your suitcase with toothbrush and towels and a change of clothing. You will put on a train and then be informed of where you are going. "
One should not judge another generation and another time. To try to compare the good folks in Arizona with Nazis simply should not fly. Anyway..... Please show your papers amigo!
...and for the world to see such frailty - pathetic and unmanly.
