Glenn Beck just talked to the Refounder who tipped him off on the Puerto Rico/Tennessee Plan. The Refounder says that the House is planning to vote on the resolution in about 45 minutes. Call your Congressman!
Puerto Rico can already vote on statehood. Theyve done it 4 times.
Won’t a bunch of Democrat states lose House seats to PR? Like 7 of them?
Maybe they don’t care, because they will gain 2 Senate seats.
It’s possible that PR won’t be totally Dem either...the island isn’t quite as liberal as Nuyoricans are.
The initial two Senators will be. They will be appointed.
What does this plan have to do with Tennessee?
For all they know we’ll get 2 more Senate RINO’s.
Oh, almost the same thing.
“What does this plan have to do with Tennessee? “
To the Dems on the Hill, Puerto Rico is the only (twenty) ten they see....
Ping...
The “Tennessee Plan” is the plan that Progressives are planning to use to make Puerto Rico a state:

Puerto Rico has voted 4 times on statehood. This time, the plan is to provide Puerto Ricans with choice that will funnel them to choose statehood:

Puerto Ricans want to stay just where they are.
Local Puerto Ricans living in the US proper, want more.
Statehood will fail unless the 2 choice Progressive fix is in the ballot, and that would be a tragedy. It is THEIR choice to make once recognized by OUR CONGRESS.
A long and distinguished history of Military service to the United States, 65th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army etc.
The Hispanic vote is not monolithic. East coast vs West Coast vs Texas etc All are different and their political dreams are also very different. Boricquas are not Chicanos are not Cubanacanos are not Dominican Yorks. None speak true Castillian spanish.
They are our friends, or neighbors, our family.
Do you think they would do this if that was likely?
Pelosi’s even making Puerto Rican Democratic angry enough to say so on the Huffington Post! (and the sun still came up this morning.)

Another devious lefty stunt to ensure their lock on power. I just can’t imagine the “typical American” understanding this particular ploy, let alone caring about it.
The Progressives prey upon and rely on American ignorance.
It is roughly following a strong-arming process by which Tennessee became a state. Progressive Marxofascists study history, whether authentic Americans choose to or not. ;-`
I will move to Rincon and at least be miserable in good weather.
Maybe. Initially, the 2 Senators would probably be Dems - breaking the Scott Brown problem.
Statehood should fail as few of us Americans want to absorb an entire Spanish-speaking, Third World country, whose inhabitants (on the island and on the mainland) have cost us taxpayers billions over the years. The Boricua on the mainland have a long history of being disproportionately on the dole (rather directly or via government jobs), and the island economy would die without subsidies and "tax credits" from Uncle Sugar.
I appreciate the military service of the minority of PRs who served in our wars, just as I appreciate that of the Filipinos and Guamanians who did the same. This does NOT justify putting America on track to join the Third World, economically, culturally, and politically.
If they DO have a vote, ONLY those on the island should vote, and they should have THREE choices.
