Via News Alert and Breitbart TV, consider this Share the Wealth 2010. Barack Obama went off the TelePrompter in his speech to a Quincy, Illinois audience about Wall Street reform. After saying that Democrats dont begrudge success thats fairly earned, Obama then ad-libs and reveals more about himself than he probably wanted:
He made what, $5.6 million last year? Is that enough?
Want him to go on his good friend’s show, Opra, and tell her that. She has made enough and should give most of it to the government. Yeah right, like that will happen.
No, no, NO! Obama must surrender everything over $250,000. No one needs to make more than that, and no one’s going to starve on $250,000. I say THAT is the point where the Obama’s have made enough money. By his own admission, $250,000 is the point where someone becomes rich, so he shouldn’t be allowed to keep even one thin dime more than that.
Show me the money, Obama! You started this class warfare excrement. Now it’s time to pay up!
“I think at a certain point you get fed up with socialists in the government deciding when you have made enough money.”
They’ll get a BIG wake-up call in November!!
What about perks? At a certain point, have Congress, the President, government employees and unions have enough perks? Can we stat taking them away? What about pensions and other benefits? At a certain point, should government bureaucrats and union thugs have to pay for part of their pensions and healthcare?
This government worker moron has no idea how much money it takes for a private person to live today in a world where they don’t have government freebees for the rest of their lives.
I don’t necessarily disagree with Obama here but the REAL issue is the corollary question: Does anyone other than each individual have a right to decide what that number should be? In other words, is this a personal or collective matter to resolve.
ding ding ding!
We have a winner!
Does this mean he’s going to give back some of that 5 million he made on his book deal?....afterall: “I do think youve made enough money, dufus!”....
So when is he sending me my check?? Spread the wealth!
Keep talking Obama!....Let your real ideas and thoughts out for us all to marvel at!.....
There was a movie years ago and I can’t remember the name - it basically was about how the youth thought they knew everything.
They took over the country and the killed everyone over the age of 25? (not sure on the age).
At the end, the man who orchestrated the takeover is standing by some children and he tells them to do something that they do not want to do - and he overhears one of the children tell the other - we’re going to take over and kill everyone over the age of 12 or whatever. Anyway - the man realizes that the child has said basically the same thing that he said - and he also realizes that he is far above their cut-off age. It was interesting in a 60s sorta way.
Exactly!
You talk the talk Barry. Let’s walk the walk. We’ll start with all of your Hollyweird supporter’s bank accounts. I’d like one reporter to ask him do you think Warren Buffett and George Soros billions are excessive? Do you think the government should redistribute their money? Obviously they have more than they need, don’t they? If your not prepared to take these “folks” money or even speak out against them, then shouldn’t you just shut up about what other people earn?
If I suddenly found myself making a billion dollars per year, I probably wouldn’t live a whole lot different than I do now. The big difference between Obama and myself on this issue is “choice”.
I would keep enough to buy up large tracts of land for wildlife refuges and taxes on that land. Most of the money would go to various charities. In fact I think I would use a fair bit of my billions to seek out government corruption and waste to expose it.
Is that what you told your buddy, George Soros?
Laughable.
FES0844: “So when is he sending me my check?? Spread the wealth!”
That’s what I’m saying! I make substantially less than $250,000. Where’s my share? Mr. President, you make far more than enough. Put your money where your evil, Marxist mouth is, El Presidente, and give me my cut!
