Some illegal immigrants say they plan to leave state (Arizona)
MSNBC ^

PHOENIX - Many of the cars that once stopped in the Home Depot parking lot to pick up day laborers to hang drywall or do landscaping now just drive on by.

Arizona's sweeping immigration bill allows police to arrest illegal immigrant day laborers seeking work on the street or anyone trying to hire them. It won't take effect until summer but it is already having an effect on the state's underground economy.

"Nobody wants to pick us up," Julio Loyola Diaz says in Spanish as he and dozens of other men wait under the shade of palo verde trees and lean against a low brick wall outside the east Phoenix home improvement store.

They should move to San Fransisco, or better yet, to Sacramento. They will be better appreciated there.

Olga Sanchez, 32, from southern Mexico, lives in Phoenix illegally with her two brothers, who are 21 and 17. While the youngest boy is in high school, all three work and send money back home to their parents.

“This law is very bad for us,” says Sanchez, who gets about $250 a week cleaning three houses. “I’m afraid of what’s going to happen.”

DUH - the law is aimed at Olga Sanchez and ILLEGAL ALIENS JUST LIKE HER.

“day laborers to hang drywall or do landscaping”

I thought they only did “jobs that Americans would not do”.

Heck - I worked jobs doing that and I am an American!

Sanchez, who gets about $250 a week cleaning three houses.

This to me looks like 83 dollars for a couple hours work.

Once you actually get the house clean (depending on how bad a mess it is), then to keep it clean each week shouldn’t be a lot of work. A couple of hours tops.

I will clean a house each week for a couple of hours for 60 dollars.

Another job “Americans won’t do”.

Many day laborers like Diaz say they will leave Arizona because of the law, which also makes it a crime to be in the U.S. illegally and directs police to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants.

Who edits these articles for MSNBC? By definition it is already a crime to be here Illegally

Uh, yeah, Olga. Go back home. Apply as a legal immigrant. If you get a visa, come back. Otherwise stay away. Better yet, just stay away.

Oh, and Olga? Take those two deadbeat sons of yours, who’re going to school on my dime and probably operating as gang bangers at the local high school, with you.

Olga can go straight to hell. She is only here to suck the US dry, just like a parasite, and her two brothers are probably gang-banger wannabes who cheer La Raza and dream of Aztlan. She does not appear to care about America or American culture. All she cares about is bleeding what she can from the US, then raising a brood who have citizenship but spit on the USA and pledge allegiance to the 3rd world narco-state that is Mexico. Anyone who finds this frank statement of reality unpalatable better wake the hell up.
