ELYRIA — Gay pornography was found by police on the computer of the slain Duane Hurley.
The graphic images — some appearing to feature underage boys — were shown this afternoon during the testimony of North Ridgeville police Detective Adam Freas.
Daniel Kovarbasich’s defense attorneys have said that showing such pornography to the 16-year-old was part of Hurley’s efforts to “groom” the boy to be molested.
Daniel, who is being tried as an adult, is on trial on murder and felonious assault in connection with the Jan. 22 beating and stabbing death of Hurley at Hurley’s North Ridgeville home.
Daniel’s lawyers have said Daniel killed Hurley to protect himself from being molested.

“ELYRIA — Gregory Kovarbasich, brother of murder suspect Daniel Kovarbasich, said this morning in court he did not believe there was anything sexual between his brother and 55-year-old Duane Hurley, who was killed on Jan 22.
Gregory Kovarbasich, 19, said Hurley “treated Daniel like a little kid” and was more generous to Daniel as far as buying him gifts. Although Hurley had made comments such as how Gregory should be in a pornographic movie, Gregory said he did not believe his brother was molested and does not think Hurley was a homosexual or a pedophile.”
For those of you who don’t seem to understand what grooming is take note.

I would not be sitting on that jury. I could not watch that.
This story is a bit cryptic. Who was this old pervert to these kids and why was the boy around this man to begin with?
Watch the video. It is all explained. It started when he was 13. The guy also had a history of manipulating children. I’m going to write up something about this case pulling together all the details.
I’m no lawyer, but from a perspective of natural law, all humans have the right to protect their life.
Whether that was the situation in this case appears to be clouded by the acts of the defendant subsequent to the death of the alleged “groomer”/attempted homo-rapist.

I’m a very close friend of Daniel Kovarbasichs brother Greg and I know for a fact he is being misquoted in this statement. He completely believes his brother and supports him 100 %. He may not have realized what was happening at the time, but is completely on behind Daniel.
