I wonder if Republicans will take a hint from this? Stand on principle reap rewards. The American people including the majority of legal minorities support immigration enforcement. What we have is a tyranny of the political classes over the common sense and liberties of the people.

Of course it's not! Equal rights, equal opportunity, equal accountability toward the law! Anything ELSE is racist!

There's an EASY way to fix that — which I've personally done THREE times now with the GOP's silly, little questionnaires:

No money for RINOs

Donate DIRECTLY to the
CONSERVATIVE Candidate of your choice!

EXACTLY! And many of them are socially conservative, too. They alsi know full well that Mexico would be the LAST country to allow illegal immigrants to wander around within its borders without being stopped, and likely thrown in jail!

+16 is NOT a "bounce," it is a SURGE.

A "bounce" is +5 or +7, and the "bounce" is expected to bounce again and again like a rubber ball, getting lower and lower until it stabilizes near where it started.

It's premature to call this a "bounce." Let's see if it is sustained. Let's see if this is a SHIFT.

You’re right. There are few if any “bounces,” surges, like this one in the history of polling over 1 week.

Hopefully the people of AZ also realize that McCain is part of the problem.

Sadly if we get a JD in AZ which would be fantastic - we may also get a Mel Martinez 2 with Rubio in FL.

Rubio is the lesser of two other bigger evils in Crist and Meek.

So it is likely 80% for and 10 % against.

I can't find the poll at the Red Star, but someone else sent one to me from a local (Tucson) news station (KGUN 9). I took it and the results were just what you said, 80% FOR! 19% against and 1% undecided, it didn't say how many had voted. I'm sure to the leftist media's great dismay that this is a 70-80% issue, crossing party lines and ethnicities.

I think I’ll visit the Grand Canyon (North Rim) this Summer. Boycott San Francisco instead.

“They alsi know full well that Mexico would be the LAST country to allow illegal immigrants to wander around within its borders without being stopped, and likely thrown in jail!”

You’re right about that. I used to travel in Mexico quite a lot, and there were routine checkpoints throughout the country, not just on the borders, to check your papers and make sure that you were legally in the country. They’d stop buses and make everyone get off.

Mexico is serious about illegal immigration. Why shouldn’t we be as serious as they are?

He will do fine if he gets off the “ birther” crap which was finished when Obama took the oath. No one cares about that.

Who is "we", Kemosabe?

they want a fight let’s give it to them and throw Rove under the bus finally

the logic by race baiters is basically since nearly all illegals are non-”white” then we should not look fo nor arrest them period.

crazy logic

The GOP challengers in November should embrace the AZ stance, and Naritelli or Poizner should announce their intention to adopt the same policy if they win the Governorship.

We could have real Republicans in control of CA for the first time in 20 years.

Yours is the position I would expect from all legal immigrants, and is in fact the viewpoint of legal immigrant friends of mine from the Philipines and Vietnam.

Why the RINO arm of the GOP shies away from this view is beyond me. Too afraid of being called racists, I guess.

Is it true that the Constitution is printed on the toilet paper in the Capital Building and White House restrooms ?

Hmm...this is the third time today I’ve seen that statement; what’s up with Rubio now?

The “birther” movement is more important for the future than for now. Perhaps because of all this noise about Obama;s true citizen status the NEXT candidate will have been forced to prove citizenship BEFORE he is allowed to run.

So there's ample reason for people to be happy with her.

And reason not to. Like her tax hike.
