I forgot to ask... anybody want to recommend some of the best campgrounds in Arizona? Any “must see” places while were there.

Don't know about camping, drink at this joint and park your camper out back. John Wayne used to hold court here.

Campground 10-X near the Grand Canyon is gorgeous and very inexpensive. You may need reservations for peak times. I stayed up there for a week one time... it was memorable. Cold at night, though.

You can also camp at Lynx Lake near Prescott and also there is a campground on 89A just west of town. They are beautiful settings in the Ponderosa Pines. You’d probably like the campgrounds near Payson, too. Call ahead because the state has closed down some state parks to save money.

A local businessman offered to run the state parks free and got turned down... state employees are a strong lobbying force.

The world’s greatest collection of RVs occurs every winter at Quartzite, Arizona, east of Blythe, California. Thousands and thousands of visitors crowd together to swap stories, trade crapola, and do what RVers do. It may not be your cup of tea, but it has to be seen to be believed.
