Ask Barry Broome, chief executive of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, what he thinks of our Board of Supervisors' move to boycott Arizona, and he won't hesitate to tell you.

"It's a really poor strategy," he says, adding words like "hypocritical," "grandstanding" and "cheap shot" to the mix.

“What does SF actually provide?”

Fog, STDs, and the worst Speaker of the House in the history of the United States.

California has been using the excess portion of Arizona’s water from the Colorado river for years. We’ve wanted that back but it’s not been possible until now. If California does this, we’ll gladly take our water back and the electricity that is produced by the Palo Verde Generating Station. That should lower our electic bills considerably and darken quite a bit of California.

The Grand Canyon is the most beautiful place on earth to me..Take your summer vacation in Arizona..

***********************

I think I will do that.

I really enjoyed Tombstone and Bisbee, nearly 3 decades ago.

Would San Francisco tolerate Arizona’s interference?

Boycott San Francisco. Should be easy.

I meant “What does SF actually provide that Arizona wants?” I should have posted without assuming others would understand.

Apparently they are threatening to not contract with companies that are doing business in Arizona. I really don’t think they want to do that. The business environment in Arizona is MUCH better than it is in California AND the taxes are lower. They’ll end up with those companies moving to Arizona.

Put their $ where their mouth is:

Tell the Giants to forfeit all games against D’Backs; all fans to refuse to go to Giants’ home games against D’Backs; prohibit D’Backs from even playing in SF.

To do otherwise is simply unethical.

I am really looking forward to vacationing in AZ next year. This year we're doing AR; I wish now we'd decided on the other way around, but...

Meanwhile, I am going to get AZ elected official's e mails, and maybe physical mailing addresses so they can be sent messages of support. I am hoping to find a list of products made in AZ for those of us who don't live/won't be vacationing there soon, which can be purchased to show support of AZ. Remember when the sand thugs announced their boycott of Danish products? Supporters of Denmark and of free speech went out of their way to buy Danish products : And to FR was posted a news article about the results. Seems so many buyers outweighed the moslem boycotters that Danish exports jumped 20% worldwide! reverese boycotts can work!

Brainstorm some things for me to buy from Arizona, please.

I like food, leather, and American Indian artwork and music, very interested in history generally and pre-Columbian American history.

Please give us a starting puchlist of things to look at and consider.

There probably lots of illegals that will boycott. Not a bad thing.
Any workers can be replaced. There are many people looking for jobs right now. That will be good.

I’m due for my vacation. Think I’ll spend my money in AZ.
How about that!

There are those who will not go there now due to the situation. The fact that they will lose more tourist money from Americans is a small price to pay for the safety of those citizens who already have lost a great deal.

From a life-long Dodger fan, I never thought I’d say this, but...

GO D’BACKS!

ps: We’re having our family reunion at the south rim of the Grand Canyon (AZ) in two months. Looking forward to spending my time and $ in AZ.
